Hi Guys, any one has encountered this error? I get this error most of the time when a disc is inserted. To make the disc play i need to eject and insert the disc 4-5 times. Please let me know...and please don't suggest to do reset which i have done and it is useless.......

Hey dude, read other thread before making such kind of false allegations ok...I have clearly mentioned it is not a network error and creating a new thread in the other thread. Dont be so arrogant man..

And mods please dont delete this thread, it is a bloody issue i am facing and this guy is making fun of me.. i dont understand, when a new person who joined hifivision to gain knowledge and find the solutions for the problems he is facing, why are some people hampering it? I am not eating anyone's personnel disc space by creating a new thread.. And also for your information i have created only very few threads and in this world of TBs, saving the disc space shall be the least worry of any one......

Hi Sukhas,

I had seen this no disc error at his place and I am sure Sukhas wants it solved as much as I want to see it done (After all I sold him the player with good intentions only).

I will wish there were more meaningful contributions on how to lick this problem.

No offense meant to anyone

Regards

Thanks for your support Vinod, I never meant to offend any one, but i can't take any one's offense and arrogance.... Thanks again......

What is your current dvd region? Try to set the dvd region to 1 instead of 0. I read this in another forum:

Please set the DVD region as "1"
Because some of DVD disc require player to be region 1 in order to play.

i guess it is 0, but i have not tried playing any dvds...may be i will check by putting 1 and test it...

Appreciated......

Have you updated the firmware??? If so you will land up with these issues... The factory installed firmware is best and it will keep the BD player region free.

Bit of basic one... Try clean with lens cleaner:)

Nope.. not yet updated the firmware. me and vinod were contemplating on it...lense cleaner for blu ray is different or same as dvd lense cleaner? also it is a barely used player; do i need to clean it so early?

Why not be cleaned, just a baby step towards clearing the "No disc" problem:) Normal DVD lens cleaner will do.

Cleaning the lens may solve this problem. I have faced this many times with my laptop DVD drive, CD players and DVD players.
I found cleaning the lens with a size zero paint brush the most effective than cleaning with a lens cleaner CD. But then you have to open up the disk player to do this.

Wow...this is bit too much for me to open the player and do the cleaning......

Thanks,

That might just work. I have faced similar problems before with my pioneer player too, a spot of cleaning and voila it starts working! This is especially true when you are playing very old discs that have not been used for a long time. Probably some dust from the disc settles on the lens!

Now why did not I think of that!

Thanks guys

But Vinod, as per me this should not happen for a brand new player and i am playing all new discs only.. There is no 1947 old stuff here...I also believe when you kept the player at your place it was totally packed...I doubt dust will go inside the player so fast..

And for all your kind attention I am using a sony's BDP 370 for last one year....Not even once i got this error...Guys i am really pissed off by this sherwood...And Vinod it is not your fault...And I am not blaming you....

Obviously when we get a player so cheap, this kind of issues are bound to happen........

This is not a cheap player, It is priced competitively, LG is cheaper than all.

If the lens cleaner process not worked out, it may be lens problem..Where do you purchased it from, send back to get an replacement, hope it will be under warranty:)

Hi Sukhas,

No offense meant that your discs are dusty or something.
Just that sometimes these things happen without any reason that is all.

I am of course very happy for your vote of confidence that I had kept the player packed and I did actually keep it completely packed. Anyway I had no blu ray discs.

Lets hope for the best and maybe someone in this forum can tell us exactly what the problem is or if someone is facing a similar problem and give us some concrete suggestions.

Regards
