Hi guys.
Just see what a computer literate average music lover is capable of.
My friend uses M AUDIO Monitors as computer speakers connected to his laptop. I recently visited him & saw the tweeters screwed up. This is what he told me.

A cousin visited him recently & was listening to music on these speakers. When he was done, he shut down the laptop & he wanted to switch the speakers off. Not knowing where the on/off switch is, thought the tweeter is the switch. There is no cover on speakers. So tweeter is a tempting choice. So he poked one tweeter. Obviously it didnt switch off. It was not playing any music. So he did not notice any change is sound either. But this cousin was not wise enough. He thought he pressed wrong button. So now he poked the other tweeter. Still it was on. Then he called my friend. My friend came in and saw this horrible site of both his tweeters being screwed up completely.

I just could not control my laughter even though i felt very sorry for him. I was quite surprised to see that a person who knew how to operate computer couldnt make out that its something silky that he is pressing and does not look like any kind of switch on earth.

hm wat were the damages?? in inr?
He is using those with whatever sound is coming. Didnt try to get it repaired. May be because his son is 2 year old now. For main listening he uses his home theatre.

By the way, good to know another doctor in this hobby. I am a critical care specialist heading the icu of Manipal hospital in Goa.

Takes the cake, Doc! I have heard of goof ups by technologically 'challenged' people, but this is too much.
