Sony BDP-S370

Hello Friends !!

I have been keenly and closely following the following thread regarding the import and Modding of Panasonic BDP 60 K

I am posing an interesting thought for all of you:

Up untill now the BD player prices were way too high in India and importing from the USA seemed the best option. But now Sony India has changed the ground rules by offering their BD player BDP-S370 for Rs. 9990/- in India.I am guessing that Samsung/LG/Philips would be following suit soon.So importing from 20 North wont be necessary anymore.

I am sure the player is Region C locked. So supposing one were to go the way of importing the MOD chip only, would it work the other way round? I mean earlier, the players were imported from the USA were Region A locked and modding made them region free. Now the Sony BDP-S370 is Region C locked , so would the modding work as well as it did earlier?

Has anybody tried the Sony? What are our views?
