Hi congrats on your new tv. I am waiting for 40inch Nx720. Did you get that monolithic stand also? please post some pictures. How much did you get it for. I love the look of this tv. I hope they launch Nx720 and Hx820 soon.

Thanks Aks, i also got the monolithic stand.. i actually bought it from grey market for 1.06 lakhs, like you mentioned the look is amazing.. picture quality is also very nice.. i have tata sky hd connection and the HD channels looks awesome... i have mentioned below few things that i tried out

1. Wifi is working good, watched youtube but still to explore other browsing options.
2. Clarity is awesome, esp with the HD channels and blue ray formats
3. it comes with 2 3d glass.. watched few parts of avatar in 3d and it was nice.
4. it has 2d to 3d conversion, but frankly after one or 2 times you won't tend to use it.
5. it doesn't support external hard disk and also doesn't read all movie formats from usb, i tried with 8gb usb.
6. it has children sensor by which when a child comes near the tv the screen goes black and gives warning.

if there is anything specific that you want to know, let me know.

Hi thanks for the reply. Can you post some pictures please? Did you wall mount it? I love the looks because it is very understated and classy like all Sony and Apple products. I find samsung and lg tvs too showy.

Could please post a detailed review on your experience so far along with some pics.
Also would like to know why exactly you choose this model and your comparitive analysis before you went in for this model.

if grey price is 1.06, then what will be the sony exclusive's price
ex720, nx720 are my choice. but when are they going to launch nx720 in India.

What warning does it give? Is it to protect children from watching tv up close, or is it to protect TV from meddling kids ? So what happens if you get close to the TV to do some adjustments, or say Sachin is on a blitz?

I believe it switches off the backlight,so children are forces to step back.

Yes its part of the Intelligent Presence Sensor. . It sounds an alarm and flashes a warning message if the children get to close to the screen.

AFAIK Sony NX720 is the name of an LCD Bravia and nobody will mistake it to be a car or fridge.

I bought NX720 40" for this Diwali. It took 10 days to deliver as there were no stocks.

After connecting the TV with Airtel HD box, I watched few movies in the HD channels and I must say the PQ is excellent!

I am yet to buy my Blu-ray Player and the Sound system (planning on ONKYO or DENON) as the built-in speakers of the TV can not do any better..

I will keep my review once the home-theater and Blu-ray players are connected (Planning to buy both of them in for New Year).

I bought the 40" NX720 in Coimbatore for 86K. (2 3D glasses included and a Sony Clock/Radio tuner as a gift )

The colors on the scene is brilliant and it has the best Dark levels on its range...
