Hey Guys,

Am planning on picking up a 40"-46" LED TV (Pref 46") for my bedroom by june end this year. My budget is max INR 85k.
I don't care much about 3D/smart features. But it needs to have 4 HDMI ports.
The main uses will be watching HD Movies by connecting my lappy and Playing PS3 Games / Next-Gen games.
Having auditioned the W700A, I was impressed by its beautiful design and amazing PQ.
So is this the best set that i can get for my budget or would you suggest something else which can match it or better it?

1. Well plasma ruled out because, it consumes a lot more power plus i have also heard about the image burning issue. Also if i am not wrong, it does not perform well under the well lit conditions.

2. Not considered projector as there will also be some HD DTH viewing.

lot more power!!!!!!
have you calculated how much exact amount of money will be spent for the extra power..

image burn is a concern if you feel like..thats personal..no problem..but power is not..

okay hd dth..so whats wrong in a projector with hd dth..

no offences..i am asking all for curiocity

I have no experience with a projector. I would rather stick to something i have used and am used to :licklips:

He will be using tv for gaming purpose also..so don't blindly push for plasma when it's reasonable to go with LED.

Agreed but like i said, its for my bedroom, not a theatre room. I dont have the space for a projector.

Lets just stick to a led tv for now. When i need a projector, i will come back for your advice :) nice pic though

For gaming it should be good, assuming it has the same input lag as other expensive models like W800 and W950 which are said to have the lowest input lag compared to any other brands lcd and plasma.

Thats good to hear. So there are no models from samsung or panasonic that could match the PQ of the W700a at the price range?

Also any news on a 40" W950a launch in India? Could consider that over the W700a :p

Opticontrast Panel and Better Speakers

I assume that should make a big difference.
As i have only heard of mixed ratings for W900A, inline with the W800A.

If there ain't a 40" version of the W950a launching by june end, then the only choice for me is the 46"W700a as no other model from samsung and Pansonic can match it.
