For your budget - velodyne Impact series, SVS, Polk DSW series are some options. Take audition and decide based on your liking for music/movies.

If for movies, I would def. recommend SVS (any model)!!.

AVR is 1713, speakers are BX2, room size is 17x16. My preference is 50/50.


I am not sure where in Pune I can demo SVS/Velodyne. However Polk DSW 660 is available (35 k). Specifications for polk seems to be better than velo.

I am using Velodyne Impact 12 and auditioned DSW 660 yesterday only. Atleast in the audition Room of the vendor DSW 660 sounded better to me though I auditioned RTi A7 with it so I was more impressed with overall sound since I am using Wharfedale Obsidian 600 Package with velodyne which itself is considerable less powerful.
