Suggest 22" LCD / LED Tvs

I want to purchase a 22" LCD or LED TV for my mother's room. She watches TV almost round the clock except night. Her sitting position is very close, say 5-6 ft from the screen. That's why I am looking for purchasing a 22" TV. Now-a-days all the TV showrooms stock big screen TVs. Very few 22" TVs are available for demo.

Need your suggestion about the brand and model. Price not an issue.

what source are you going to feed. DTH or normal cable ? In case of DTH you can get a monitor of 22 inch which has an HDMI i/p

The source will be normal Tata Sky, not the HD. In fact, now a 17" monitor is being used with a set of Alteck Lansing 2.1 speaker. But my mother is not very comfortable with those wires and components. So I thought to purchase a TV and make it simpler for her.

Now among the brands, which will be good? Samsung, LG, Sony or Toshiba?

I think the samsung model supports most features like full hd, usb playback etc. The price is also not high.

For a small screen 22" TV, whether HD ready or full HD makes any difference in viewing SD channels?

For 22" TV, Full HD or HD Ready does not make much difference especially for SD channels. So you can look for HD ready TVs also.
