Folks,
I have a general query on usage/precautions to extend durability of BIC subwoofers.
Context: I read on the Net about some cases where people have reported failures after a few months of use of BIC SW. It could be that those reports are dated or improper use.
Still considering that we are using a 230V version here, are there any precautions using the BIC sub-woofer that can ensure durability and extended life ?
It will benefit all the BIC SW owners, if experts can provide some best practices and care guidelines.
thanks
Vijay
Again it depends on how much volume you hear at? I have a small space at home say 12 X 10 max yet I am using PL200 for 5.1 setup, it sounds just great.i have read more positive updates on the PL200 over here from friends who have bought it and using it, hence my mind is running more towards the PL 200 , only one thing in my mind is considering PL200 is a bigger sub will it bang-bang my house and disturb the neighbours?? currently I will connect my new sub (PL 200) to my old AV Marantz SR4002 & Paradigm CT90 5.1 speaker, hope it will sync well with my set-up ??
Request PM the price you got them fordeal completed successfully thanks to pushkarajd for getting a great deal and sriram_shol for coordinating.
I know it's been a while since this thread and your message @sriram_shol... Can you please share the PDF for how to change the settings on the Formula F-12 from 110v to 220v? I've also reached out to BIC support. The subwoofer circuit has a jumper to switch between 110V to 220V. I guess the product that is sent to India should be made compatible with Indian power standards before they are shipped from the manufacturer.
I am attaching the PDF of how to change the voltage settings in the subwoofer circuit.
Thank you. Now I need to figure out how to open it. At first try, I removed the outer screws at the back and the control unit didn't budge. I saw a YT video where he opened the front ring and woofer to access the back and push out the control unit but I wasn't successful.
Found the PDF instructions for F-12 in another thread (https://www.hifivision.com/threads/...ubwoofer-through-amazon-com.24052/post-340681) and also on another site (techenclave)... Uploading here for others...Thank you. Now I need to figure out how to open it. At first try, I removed the outer screws at the back and the control unit didn't budge. Any leads on the teardown of the F-12 or similar?
Success! I was able to pry open the back panel and made the jumper changes. Working on 220v now! Phew.Thank you. Now I need to figure out how to open it.
