As much as I agree with your contention that anyone who has invested in a HD TV, is simply wasting their investment if they are not spending, what is a very small amount relative to the money spent on the TV, to get HD service, I still wouldn't classify them as idiots. I think 'ignorant' would be more appropriate and then again maybe even not that, for people have different priorities and logic that determine their decisions.Ok if someone does watch a lot of Disco/NGC and has a 47 or a 50 incher HDTV and yet doesn't go for the HD upgrade. THEN he's an idiot

The IPL3 and the T20 Champions Trophy were shown in HD. It is a safe bet that both IPL4 and the Cricket World Cup will be shown in HD. Why no love for the the Common Wealth Games in HD on DD HD?Assuming the Cricket WC/IPL4 are shown in HD. That would be the time when I make my switch to an HD service.
I believe some Pune company was the first to launch HD services in India around the time of the Beijing Olympics. Not sure if it is the same company.BTW. When I visited my parents in Pune, ICC cable had HD channels listed in their EPG. Can anyone confirm if they actually have an HD cable box ??
