Let me share my experience; I wanted to buy marantz pm6004 from HiFi Mart but when I called them up they refused to take the order citing same reason. PM 6004 was available at 28.5k(with free shipping) with HiFi mart,As I was unable to place order, I had to buy it from a Kolkata dealer @30K and paid other incidental charges :sad:

Is it for any political reason or something else?

I think it is the additional formalities involved with varying Sales Tax rules of West Bengal (I think similar is also applicable for a few other states including Bihar) which the seller or the shipment company needs to take care at additional cost.

However if an outside shipper do give a declaration that the item being shipped is not for sale (may be for evaluation purposes) and total value is less than 10,000 INR (i guess this is also required) then there should not be any problem. If none of the courier guys show up to back the shipment then try GATI which I heard is reliable and deals with ease in such types of cases.

Hi Captain sorry for the late reply. I am fully sure that the courier guys are playing the fool. You see Mr Kuruvilla Jacob sent me something, so have pleple from Hyderabad, Bangalore, Gurgaon and places like that the courier services used were (DTDC, PROFESSIONAL COURIERS, BLUE DART, FEDEX and in one case GATI). No issues at all.

West Bengal, YES they are reluctant for want of Form 16 and so on. But no issues for NE states. If you want I can get the TT pre-booked for collection from your doorstep, but for that certain figures of size, weight etc would be required, which we can discuss through PM.

And I thought you are still to dig out the TT

F&D F6000 5.1 model ....one surround speaker wire is accidently cut and so can't be used without altering the wiring. hence giving it away. Perfect working condition. Guests r at home so cant give demo. Simple take it and go takers preferred.

These were all my first round of my segregated second copies ; De cluttering!!I

I thought I would share it with audiophiles, than trading..

They are second best, not so in mint condition and covers not it good shape. Playable , and not for the one who owns high end turn table or cart.

My first preference goes with a vinyl collector who wants to fill the gap, and next is the one who is in search of it for nostalgia ..

Pls don't ask me about my bank details to remit courier charges; for this fraternity I would bear all the courier bill, except that you got to bear with my poor packing skills..
