i had the same issue. Once the snaps were taken they took ~ 10 days for the new replacement.

will they give me same frsh model.. the one i have or they will exchange it with the 2012 line of plasma's.

They will just replace the panel, not your TV.
I'm okie with it .. but they told me i will get the new plasma as they dont replace the panel .
Which is tough in thier terms i guess what they told me.

Simply they will get the new tv and they will take away the defective one.

To be honest im counting on new one.. :P

I had the same issue on my 42ST30 and they replaced my tv. The service engineer who came to took the pics told they will mostly replace my TV but incase if any one asks for panel replacement I need to insist on replace the whole set. In my case, no action was taken for around 10 days after that I called up CC and did some followup and finally I got a brand new sealed unit.

Panasonic have one of the worst customer service. since your TV is under warranty, insist on replacing the TV instead of the panel.

today i contacted the service centre again they said.. they got the approval for the replacement for my tv but unfortunately its not in stock. i heard that panasonic discontinued this model long ago.. but the main question is that. if this model not more in production then how the hell they will give me the fresh replacement i doubt that they will give me the refurbd model....

No, my experience says Panasonic aftersales service is quite good. It may differ from place to place. But in Kolkata they have very strong customer relationship.

They are bound to give you a newer model which replaces your old model of the same category of your TV. Otherwise demand a credit note from company.

then i think they would give me ut series :p

Guys....am facing similar problem with my 50VT20 set....service guys came took pics said they need to send it to their regional office in singapore.........they will decide what to do......probability of panel replacement ........reading your posts, the only positive for me is that my set has barely completed 10 months hence under the 1 year warranty on the entire set...not the extended 2 year warranty on Panel..maybe i can ask for replacement of the entire set...or credit note .....

well mine is also 11 mnths old plus i hav the extended 2 mnths warrnty on the entire set.

and in mumbai i dun noe how they cope up but yhu shuld ask for replacement.

plasma panels can be replaced but generally they can't coz replacement costs a lot more then the actual price of the whole tv and only an expert can do it.

According to me they cant coz they dun hav plasma production plant here in india ..

no mahn panny are best so far if yhu intend to buy plasma .. if one is facing any problem it dsnt mean evrybdy has facing issues.. problem can occur on any brand any tv.. anytime..
