I dont think its only cause of the front glass panel of the TV. Now that the LCR is close and there is a huge gap behind the TV it is trapping sound and causing bad reflections. May be i need to remove everything and treat the front wall completely. Its a tedious process so for now i will look at other easy ways to improve the soundThis discussion may help:
Covering Flat Panel TV While Listening To Music...
So the thought occured to me as I was looking through photo's of all your guys sweet listening room setup's to see if I can steal any good idea's for...forums.stevehoffman.tv
I have exactly the same issue. 65" plasma tv full glass. Can't do anything as it weighs > 60 Kg. The link you posted gives me an idea of covering it with a fleece blanket. But covering it everytime I want to hear music is going to be troublesome. Or should I pull the speakers closer to the listening position? That’s my Oled Tv And yes it’s the major culprit for SBIR issues I am having. After upgrading to 65 Oled tv only I started to get so many issues in my room
SBIR is nasty and difficult to treat. You will need to treat the front wall completely.I have exactly the same issue. 65" plasma tv full glass. Can't do anything as it weighs > 60 Kg. I couldn't fix the SBIR issues. Guess removing the TV and completely treating the front wall will only bring improvements. From what i have read and heard is that SBIR is Nasty and very difficult to treat. Let me share measurements so you will understand better.Crazy!
Solutions that worked for you both?
Moving the speakers is the only thing that has worked for me. There is something called tripple whammy or quadruple whammy that kills base because of SBIR (discussed at around 25 mins into the video below).Solutions that worked for you both?
Yes it’s almost a square 10*11 room. BTW have you applied any smoothing? Cause no way for the the entire range to Be flat.@Love4sound what are your room dimensions? Is it a square? I have heard squared rooms are pain to get good responses and even treat.

This is a REW measurement I took for both Akai Speakers I worked upon and QA3050I.
Mic was placed at MLP, my room is a rectangular room with widest area having front speakers. I guess to many things between my LR speakers works for me.

While sharing graphs don’t apply any smoothing cause it won’t give the real picture of what the actual response is.Yup, 1/6th
Very good response. Previous size was 43 inch. Rockwool will be more effective compared to polywool which I used but polywool is a safe material compared to rockwool and hence I went with it@Love4sound
This is without any smoothening, till 200hz. Had file saved and I just removed anykind of smoothening. I am a noob to read all these graphs so far, slowly learning.

What was the size of your TV earlier? What are the benefits of the material you used instead of rockwool?
So I am really enjoying treating my room as much as I have enjoyed doing few frequent upgrades with my gears in recent times.
