TV for 55k

If you want to buy a led go with sony..pic quality is superior than others..Extended warranty for 2 yrs costs Rs3000/- for 40 inch..and you will get the same coverage as the first 1 yr.

so you're saying people who got a led only watch serials and don't watch movies..what kind of stupid statement is that?

hehe no offence..i meant to say plasmas have that color pallate very close to what we see in multiplex theaters.....on the other hand led do have color pallete that looks stunning for live show/discovery channel but are very far from the specific color pallate found in theaters.

now here I am considering the color pallate of theaters as a standard.

if you say/think led pictures are better than theaters color pallatte.........then please contact hollywood studios/blu ray recordings companies for this idea....you may get a prize.
or u can also contact JVC/infocus/sony projectors who are spending on R and D a lot to reach film standard color pallate...much of their expenditure will be saved.

My query was people buy led tv not only to view serials but also to watch movies from br player/media player etc..it's stupid to compare a theatre pic with a 40inch led.

thats why I said theater as a standard.
who will be a winner??
most close to that particuler standard.....right??
now
is a plasma is most close in terms of color pallate?
Or
is a led is most close in terms of color pallate?

who is close....is a winner..simple.

Where do you get this artificial color of led concept..u really should checkout leds..plasma got advantage of black level over led..but when it comes to color accuracy led will perform as well as plasmas..you should check planet earth bluray on led side by side of a plasma..you will know.

okay I will definitly check as i love trying experiments may be I change my mind...but you sometime try any james bond blu ray side by side in plasma and led. and the dark knight, any tarantino movie/(not avatar) please... is a must try....

and planet earth is not a movie by the way.I already said discovery channel like stuffs look stunning in leds.we are trying to find theter color standard for movies......so comaprison with planet earth does not make a sense....

to ssk..a belkin is always recomended to protect sudden inrush...stabiliser is for cont small fluctuations...

If you want to check color accuracy planet earth is the way to go..it's a tv series available on bluray..ask anyone.

you yourself is violating your own point.
I said yes led is best for tv series.....
and u said why is plasma best for movies...do led people dont watch movie??

and now comparing with TV SERIES.......I preevously said that..leds look stunning in discovery channel/nat geo like stuff.....

now if you say planet earth is the standard than casino royale....then may be in the near future we will see dark knigh rises 2 or expendables 3 in that type of color palatte...would be much cheaper also for the hollywood studios to shoot like tv series with much less cost

Planet Earth bluray is a benchmark for not only testing color but also test blacks as well..it got scenes of forest, desert in night and under water scenes.ask any plasma owners here...there is no point of discarding it on basis of it's a tv series..the bluray transfer is top-notch here.

you are not getting a basic point...a movie color is completly different than a tv seris.....thats why they create the movie mood.otherwise all hollywood and bollywood film makers would have been shifted to tv series like color pallates and have saved many million rupees...

and why is this point being discussed....I think we were talaking about most close to theater color standards........what this planet earth is doing here..... if you like tv series like picture its good..no problem..but you cant say theater colors look bad than tv series...put this idea to hollywood or bollywood...see what they say..

to ssk :Dhehe..protection is better than asthetics

You should search the net more before making comment on movie mood..not sure if it's mode..also on color reproduction..and also planet earth bluray.

By having individual adjustments, one can get the colour callibrated as per individual choice or a recommended setting.

However, plasma will have a tendency towards natural colours whereas LED will have tendency towards saturated colours (when used with factory default pic setting). Some people call the saturated colours of LED as "artificial".

This is neither an advantage nor a drawback. It is basically the natural derivative of the technology involved. Some people prefer natural colours while quite a few like saturated/vivid colours.

So we do not need to fight on this. Go with what you like.

I don't think people use factory settings in home..they can adjust individual color as they like.
