The "The Book" portable TV by Philips,1986. The rear casing was designed like bellows or folder and can be expanded and contracted. A pair of speakers in place of the spine complete the picture.

One more. Although it is not in the league of other jaw-dropping classics in this great thread, this product stands out as it was actually available in India; IIRC made by BPL-Sanyo. The Sanyo quad-speaker boombox, single cassette variant. Early 1980s.

Panasonic TNT / Dynamite TNT RQ-8, 8-Track player. Very collectable these days, especially the transperent version. Techmoan featured these as well.
