I am thinking of getting a monitor. I came across this model from BenQ. The model number is GW2450HM (also available in a 22" and 27" variant). Does anyone have any experience with this particular model? It has a VA panel, and boasts a static contrast ratio of 5000:1, this at a time when top-end TN and IPS panels claim only 1000:1 static contrast ratio. The folks at tftcentral were able to get a 0.04 cd/m2 black level after calibration. I was also thinking of getting an IPS based panel but the IPS is really weak on black levels. Any thoughts? Or alternative VA based panels from other manufacturers, which should be readily available in India?
Also, most of the IPS panel based monitors seem to use 6-bit panel e-IPS whereas the BenQ employs an 8-bit panel.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
