Vinyl I am listening to...

Sbg. Hi. I see that you have a Schitt Loki in the chain. In my main system, Project Debut III- OM 10-Cambridge Audio P540 is inputting a Loki generation 2. It does balance out certain records and is useful for a bit of bass and mid on certain records.

I'm more often on an Headphone than on speakers. I usually tone down a bit of Base for new songs and on most of the English albums , Mids for Older Hindi songs.
I usually mix up a bit from both marantz and loki depending on songs - and this has never settled in , so at times it is in full V or rock mode

A superlative album composed by the great Madan Mohan. The heart touching song, "Zara Si Aahat Hoti Hai To Dil Sochta Hai" must be one of the finest song from the Madam Mohan-Lata Mangeshkar combination.

This album was 1st released as an EP under Angel Records label in 1965. Then the album finally got a LP release in 1989 under HMV label.

Listening to the soulful rendition of Kasme Wade Pyar Wafa by the great, Manna Dey. Probably, it is one of the best songs sung by Manna Dey. It was very sad that such a talent was so much under utilized in Hindi movie music.

Manna De's soulful renditions were to some extent underrated. Love his songs. This LP (Angel pressing) is also rare

Hector2013. Both Gumrah and Humraaz have superb songs and music. On another note I procured a copy of Aashiq(1961, Raj Kapoor ,Nargis). This is an EMI 1978 pressing. Notwithstanding the surface noise the song are simply superb. “Main Aashiq Hoon Baharon Ka” Mukesh/Shailandra & O Shama Mujhe Phoonk de” Lataji &Mukesh were big hits. Another hit was “Tum Aaj Mere Sang Hanslo” Mukesh/ Hasrat Jaipuri. I believe the 10 inch LP version is very rare and sought after.

Both absolutely classic OSTs. Kisi Baat Par Mein by Kishore Kumar from Bemisal is an intoxicated song with a hint of agony. betrayal and sacrifice. Ae Ri Pawan is another lovely song- though I love bangla counterpart better Bedhechi Bina from Kalankini Kankabati

Sawan Ke Jhule Pare from Jurmana has two versions on slow and rural and another when Rakhee becomes urban- it is fast and confident kind a . Lata Mangeshkar voice and act becomes so obvious

What pressing is this? HMV/Odeon/Angel? Or is it just an inner sleeve you are presenting?

I wouldn’t keep all those . You can find those records in pristine condition in future. Please think again before not putting those on sale.

First Pressings (1st) hold a lot better sonic quality and long term value. The post 60’ albums can be sourced to find the original press. If you cannot afford, not to worry. Simply have less, or work harder.
