Vinyl I am listening to...

I scored a mint condition Marty Robbins CBS Japanese Pressing LP "Hawaii's calling me" which contains his amazing vocal hit "Ka Lu A" which has some amazing yodeling. The record was a bit dusty but kind of un-used. I must say its an amazing pressing, beautiful imagery. One can imagine ones self on the beaches of Hawaii, listening to it.

1. Dil Cheez Kya Hai

2. In aakhon ki masti

Christmas is nearing and its time to take out the old Christmas Records

Started last night with my Christmas gift for 2013 (courtesy our FM Shafic), Boney M's Christmas Album LP. I must say, I have the CD of this album as well but the LP is simply outstanding in comparison.

How lucky of you to have got this!
I won't even ask where you got it.
I'd love to hear it sometime. :)

oh, I remember Peenaz Masani, the smart looking lady with curly bobbed hair, who used to attract us to otherwise boring Gazal programming on Doordarshan, back in the mid 1980s.

Nice album. It was recorded in Abbey Road London studio.
Luckily I have one in mint condition. "Mary's boy child ...." is my favorite . No idea how many times I would have played it.

That's an absolute gem of an album! Very special album to the band as well if you know the Rush story..

I was alone at home this afternoon..Everyone had a holiday today..so called a couple of friends and played some pretty extreme music all the while! Wonder if we disturbed the neighbours. Lucky for them I don't have floorstanders yet :ohyeah:
