What RCA Cables and Speaker Cables to import from Unites States.

Hi Amitkumar, received your PM.
Most people (including me) who have experimented with mogami interconnects will tell you this:
1. Use 2549 if you are using single ended (RCA - RCA) cable. For balanced connection go with 2534. I have compared 2534 with 2549 many a times. 2534 used as RCA-RCA cable doesn't cut it. It has a little lower noise floor but it sounds relatively lifeless. The 2549 even with the cheapest of RCA connectors sounds more alive and musically correct.
2. Good connectors matters a lot and so does good quality soldering. Try to use silver solder as much as possible. Among connectors, vampire sounds great. Neutrik rean is cheap and good. You will lose some resolution and also the sound is a bit muddy/hazy compared to other connectors. But musically it is very good. Great flow and very coherent, good tones. Switchcraft was the cleanest sounding with most anount details and very good resolution, but somehow did not have the life and body that makes music instruments sound compelling. It sounds more hifi if you ask me. Eichmann bullets coloured the tones towards the darker side. Music had lot of body but it was not tonally neutral.

So i think i should finalise with Mogami W2549 for the RCA cable and time being Neutrik Rean or the Switchcraft RCA connectors seems to be the only option due to budget constraints or you say not willing to spend money on the high end connectors.
Any speaker cable could you recommend, i can spend upto 10 USD for a metre.

Your equipment is absolutely top end and i can understand 2549 working better as it is less shielded. But with lesser equipment i still feel 2534 might be a better choice, especially with digital. With high end digital it might be a different story

Forumer Jenson had bought the W3103 and his feedback is positive. I think it is 13 or 12 AWG. Unless you're bi-wiring, you don't need quad wires. Of course you can use 2 + 2 and get thicker gauge. But inserting two wires into a banana or spade and soldering them needs some careful planning (you need to plan for larger hole appropriate to the AWG).
Try using something thicker than 16 AWG wire. 16 AWG in real life is quite insubtantial (I am biased and love "pythonic" diameter in my speaker cables:lol

Look up "star-quad". It's not just 4 wires but in a particular geometry which has a purpose if wired conventionally.

Your idea of using the mogami 3103 seems very reasonable, it might be a little mess to convert the quad wires into two. only benefit is that it will save some money as the mogami 3103 costs 4 times as compared to canare 4S8. but the quanity required might just be 10 ft, so the extra expenditure in the absolute terms might just be 1k or so.
To me the above mentioned connect seems to be same as Rean NYS373 except something attached to the rear side of the connector. sorry i dont know the exact terminology, i am talking about an extra plastic pipe kind of thing that seems to be part of the connector on its rear side.
Further either of the websites Home - REAN Connectors and Profi Cable Connectors - Neutrik do not cover this porduct mentioned by you. I think that extra material on the rear end is probably added by the sellor. What do you think?

I m planning to order from performanceaudio.com or redco.com, would you like to recommend any budget spades/bananas.
I have monoprice banana plugs, may be they can be used. Or i should just use the bare wire twisted and soldered on the each end.
May be i should order both i.e 2549 and 2534, try and see which works best.

The REAN connectors use a much thinner and weaker plastic insert in the barrel that holds the cable by friction (as you screw in the barrel, the plastic insert holds the cable body more and more firmly. On the Neutrik RCA model that I linked (with spring tail), this plastic insert is more rugged and therefore more confidence inspiring. The spring comes from the the factory, it is certainly not an addition by the seller.
Try Kiran Sales Mumbai (Biren, 9322235353) for Neutrik connectors (and Belden cables). Alternately, MX has a large variety of gold plated RCA connectors and they are good.
The rear of the RCA connectors have specific diameter of opening so it is good to look for something that fits the cable's outer dimension.

I was planning to buy Rean connectors from Kiransales only, to clarify i spoke to him again. He is telling that the one which is lower cost is the Rean only and the same is typically sold as neutrik. The actual neutrik is the higher end Profi model. there is nothing else. see even the company websites doesnt have any mention of the that model you mentioned.
May be i request you to clarify with Biren if you have interacted with him earlier and if you are comfortable. This will bring more confidence in me in proceeding further with this connector.

Please go ahead with REAN. I have used it many times (in interconnects as well as tonearm cable termination) and I don't think there is anything wrong with it sonically. My only grouse is the rather flimsy plastic holder inside. Only make sure that you choose the proper model based on your cable outer diameter.

Amit, what is Kiran Sales quoting for the Rean and ProFi jacks?
REan ones cost abt INR 95/-- per piece and he has the stock. He mentioned ProFi costs 1200/-- a pair, i didnt ask if he has the stock or not.

There is a lot to be said for bare-wire --- it saves one metal/metal interface.

Till the bare copper oxidizes. And if the ends are tinned, the stiffness of the tinned ends reduces the area of contact. Unless the ends are tinned, and flattened. I've done it once. Smashed it hard with a hammer. Looked like a solder splat. Of course, my lead ears could hear no difference either way.
