I am searching for good quality Spades and Banana terminations for 9 AWG speaker cable. Any suggestions where I can buy these in India?

I saw the Supra terminations but they are expensive and not very good looking in my opinion.
The ones available locally don't take such a thick cable.

(I prefer the ones not requiring soldering)

Hi Shivam
Since u do not mention what city in India I cant be specific!!

For cheap connectors (Rs 250/300) a peice I think the Kimber Banana SBAN is great. Unfortunately its the solder type connector.

If u are in Bbay then Spectra Electronics at Lamington Road will offer SUNRIZE bananas for about Rs 100 which is a copy of the WBT Topline / Midline. Decent connector with screws and no need to solder. Plus can easily accomodate AWG 9.

For guys who are really finnicky buy WBT when its on sale on various Websites abroad. Most ship to India. It is more expensive than the ones discussed above but then its a real quality connector and one that will last for decades.

Planning to go for Supra spades for speaker end and Supra Bananas for Amplifier end. They seem like the best option though a little expensive.

May i know the power/wattage of speakers you are connecting this 9AWG cable and how much length.

Hi Dinyaar Bhai
Hope all is well at your end :)

Shivam, if buying from Spectra , I think their price is around Rs 65 to Rs 75 bracket.

Kimbers even though you need to solder is a good option

They are not good looking and they are expensive. Thankfully they will be hidden behind the speakers and amp so I have opted for them. I managed to increase my budget for them. Those are the only acceptable ones I could find which take 9AWG wire. What was so hard to understand in those two earlier statements ?

I wonder what kind of conscience YOU are demonstrating by trying to link those two statements ! :o

Its very simple, "Understanding the logic behind your fashionably contradictory statements" :p

I still wonder with which speakers do you use 9AWG :D

The reason for connectors is not sound quality but the ease. I have always used bare wires and this is the first time I will be using connectors and so I really can't comment on the sound change.

I am presently using Supra Classic 6.0 speaker cable. This has a size of about 9AWG.

I recently purchased a Rs 180 a pair gold plated digital MX banana plugs. I also bought a Rs 10 per piece banana plugs. The thing is, i have used both and i cant find any audible difference. Feels like i wasted my rs 720 on 4 pairs

I again quote some of my points to make things clear -

I have always used bare wire and so I can't comment on sound quality.
The Supra connectors that I have bought are expensive but I could afford them.
I wanted connectors that take a 9awg wire (Supra classic 6.0) - this was difficult, since most accepted wires upto 12awg.

I do hope that with my average system, I won't hear any difference with or without the connectors.
