Which blu-ray players wid ntfs support?

Blu-Ray players capabilities to play media files is yet very immature. Get a media player with a Blu-Ray drive. That is your best option.

For availability in India, I can only think of Dune. In the US, you can look at Dune and Popcorn Hour.

Well Oppo 93 can play ntfs formatted drives. I think both Oppo as well as Dune are available with lakozy in Delhi. They are on the forum you can target your queries to them.

Well Oppo 93 can play ntfs formatted drives.

Oppo BD93 has limited media support, and that is also flaky. According to Oppo itself, media support is only experimental. The media 'supported' is listed below:

  • avi
  • divx
  • gif
  • jpg
  • mka
  • mkv
  • mp2
  • mp3
  • mpg
  • png
  • vob
  • wma

Fine, with the limited media, but it does play mkvs > 4gb which I have tried out without any problem and the navigation seems good. Well I have not tried out other formats, but any day a media player will be better than handling media files than a DVD/BD player. I only mentioned that the Oppo 93 can recognize/play NTFS formatted drives and also play large files.

Samsung bluray players support NTFS and very good codec support

Except for iso support all major formats are supported

I intact sold my popcorn hour after I got the below samsung bluray

Blu Ray players are not suitable for playing media files as all of them have certain restriction. Go for any media player to play HD files or your laptop with any software player.

That is a over statement

The new bluray players Support extensive file formats, streaming support and Internet streaming as well

I was a proud owner of popcorn hour media streamer for 3 years and sold it when I got my Samsung BDC6900 bluray

I don't miss anything from my popcorn hour.

I Personally don't care if media streamers support flash and real media etc. They are uncommon and very minuscule number of people use these kind of formats

What matters is mov, mp4, Mkv, EMC, avi, etc

suggest me best blu-ray players that can play any size files thru usb or hdd.

Hi,

if you are not interested in you tube streaming then you can go for LG Blu-ray Player model BD550 which will cost your around 7.5K in vijay sales. If you are looking for you tube streaming then you can go for higher models within LG which shall involve higher cost. I personally was looking around for it as i am planning to get a new ht system & i was unsatisfied with most of them..even sony. I came accross this & personally tested by attaching a usb disk having 2 partitions viz fat(30GB) & ntfs(220GB) & it detected both the partitions. I tried running movies (DVD/HD Quality) & the amazing part was it was loading it too quick. I ran a mkv file which was 4.4GB (FAT doesnot supports this much size in single file) from the ntfs partition & i was amazed with the quality & the speed it loaded...even a high config pc will not load it as quicker... you can visit the site for more details.

The only thing it din detected was the .flac songs file (loseless audio) however i was ok with it.

I have performance experience with samsung as well

It loads even 30gb Mkv in a sec and much faster than popcornhour

Even video quality is better

I think the bluray manufacturers use much powerful processors
