@kk: IMHO, as per the dimensions of your room, size 40'-42' would be the best suited size for you.
If you wanna go the plasma way,
Pana 42V20D should be the best bet. This is one of the best plasma TV in terms of colour reproduction and black levels:clapping:. This TV should be available to you for around Rs. 64k. But, I have heard that plasmas usually lose their black levels after a use of about two-three years. Was it a problem with the old generation plasma or the current generation plasmas also sufffer from this? HiFi experts please correct me on this if I am wrong and please don't initiate the plasma vs LCD war again.
Talking about
SONY 40EX720, this is a skype ready, 3D enabled FHD LCD with edge lit LED. A lot of good words are being said in praise of this TV. But, 80k (the price @ this TV is available) for a 40 incher just for the 3D feature, I am not game for it. But, then its SONY (No pun intended).
I am sorry that I have no idea about
Pana D25B:sad:.
Talking about
LG, 42LE8500 is an excellent TV. This is a full LED-LCD with local dimming. The best thing about this TV is that the panel is
THX certified:licklips:. It is a non 3D TV but handles the 2D content beautifully. It has some great black levels. Being an IPS panel it has better viewing angles and accurate colour reproduction. This TV would cost you around 70k.
Coming to Samsung, I am a great admirer of Samsung. Personally, I am looking forward to buy
Samsung 46C650L1R:yahoo:. This is a series 6 LCD (neither edge lit nor full LED) that packs a great punch. The other day, I had gone to demo 40C550 but happened to see this monster. I liked every bit of this and started dreaming of having this beauty at my house. On coming back to my house, I searched the internet for reviews of this TV and surprise-surprise this TV outshines some of the LEDs in terms of colour reproduction, black levels etc. One review that I came across even ranked it higher than LG LE8500 in terms of black level. This TV is a 100 Hz TV so, watching fast motion sports should not be a problem on this one. The response time of this TV is 4ms (gtg) which is not among the best and is certainly not ideal for gamers as they can experience input lag but should not be a problem for me as I am not an avid gamer. This TV is available for Rs. 67k here in Delhi. The only thing that is putting me into a dilemma against buying this TV is the panel lottery policy adopted by Samsung
. One should not expect such an illicit, immoral and iniquitous practice from a global electronics giant
. At least they can disclose the fact that a particular series comes in panels of type X and the other series comes in type Y. But they will not do this. SONY in this area is quite clean and has a great reputation.
Anyways, all the best for your search.
