I am looking to buy a 32" LED TV out of the following. Please suggest me which one is better and why. I will be using the Digi cable set top box and it will be mainly used for seeing TV serials only. Viewing Distance - 4-6 ft.

1. Samsung UA32EH6030R
2. Samsung UA32EH5330R
3. Philips 32PFL6357/V7
4. LG 32LM6200
5. LG 32LM3410 (considering this model as I hv read on the forum that 32" LED 1080p & 720p look same).

My budget is Rs.37000/-

What you have heard and read - HD-Ready and Full-HD is same at 32" - is more or less correct under the following conditions:

- viewing distance >= 5 feet
- playing standard DTH/Cable including 1080i HD
- playing downloaded HD content
- when playing BD and distance is more than 6 feet

For your purpose, HD-Ready is good enough. Save your money and invest in stocks/mutual funds instead. :)

at 37k get a 43 incher why settle at 32.....and a better picture though
panasonic and samsung entry plasmas are at that price point.however plsmas need care to prevent image retntion...if you are ready to yake care save money and still get a better picture also with a bigger screen

Days of 32 inch are over.. if you are looking for a decent TV, which offers HD.. then go for 42", which are available around 40K

The room in which I am going to have this TV is 10 X 12 ft. and for that room 32" is sufficient.

Secondly, what type of care is needed to prevent image retention in Plasma as I have 42" plasma in my drawing room.

great as you are already using a plasma....
okay as you dont want a 42 incher in new room..i suggets dont invest much for reguler tv view get a toshiba or panasonic hd redy tv 32 inch at about 18k to 22k........
to prevent IR you have to avoid static images for long duration....and for first 200 hours keep all setting in low like 40 or lower...

I am going for a Full HD TV as my Plasma is HD ready and I have come to know that from shorter distances, Full HD does make a difference in PQ.

may be you notion is wrong..
for a 32 incher its impossbile to tell whther its a hd ready or full hd panel even from 2 ft distance....try yourself.
experiment it side by side
also full hd point comes into picture while a 1080p true blue blu ray disk is being played..

now its your call

As you have suggested me to go with HD ready. Pls suggest me a HD ready TV which you feel good & vfm.

How is Onida & Videocon TVs?

Some people say that we can see the difference and some say, we can't.

Never mind, pls suggest me one TV both Full HD and one TV in HD ready which you feel if best VFM.

THen I will decide after seeing that model & its price....

about full hd and semi hd discrimination at 32 inchers......its better to experiment than suggstions.....belive your eyes...not my or someone else suggestions...
for reguler tv view(serials etc)...dont spend a lot.
yes onida, videocon is good enough if a 32 incher can be had under 20k...

But the point is, which model is coming in this budget of 20K but is still having most of the features of 40K TVs.:p

didnt remember the exact names..
search..there are avilable modesl from toshiba, panasonic, videocon models 32 inchers....
about feutures what exactly are your requrements...
obviously we cannot expect a 20k tv and a 40k tv to be at par.....
but thatys why i mentioned for normal regular serial viewing....

othwewise for enjoyment and a movie feel even a 65 incher is not suffcient....

I had gone to market to see LEDs. I was offered Samsung 6030 3D TV for Rs.34,700/- with 51 DVD & 2 Glasses. Another which I liked was Sansui LED - SJB32FB0B1A for Rs.25000/- + Rebok shoes of Rs.2999/-.

So other than the 3D & side posts in Sansui, I can't find much of a difference between the TVs. Pls help
