Xiaomi to launch Mi TV Q1 75" on 23rd March - QLED, 192 Zones, 120Hz

I concur n also retriate that high performing FALDs have great black levels in a dark room environment, not exactly OLED level black but pretty close.
It has a bleeding haloing effect also. Plus you see the grey blacks in title and credits scene

Maybe the older gen FALDs pre 2018 had backlight bleeding issues but most of the high end FALDs except LG nanocells don't suffer from any obvious haloing or grey black subtitles or credits, yes when viewed off axis in a pitch dark room there is some haloing/ bleeding but then most of us watch our TV pretty much from a central position.

The LG FALDs have this issue because they use IPS panels. Apple's new iPad pro with miniLED also has such bad blooming because of this reason. If they used a miniLED with VA panel the halo would have been much lower.

FALD does improve the native contrast ratio of a panel but it can't completely remove the effects if the blacks are IPS level bad.

Not at all. Never experienced this in this qled. Blacks look super black.
Even my 5 year old sony led tv will have this black levels in such lighting. And also using mobile it’s easy to cover the blooming. Black levels are good in top qled but they suffer blooming and back light flickering in pitch dark rooms period.

Bro I have OLEDs in my home, I speak from experience. Your favourite brand's b7 and a8g. I don't find any flickering and even blooming is really low. Some times even our eye make perception of blooming. Many times I feel as if I am getting blooming on OLED.

This is the type of image u get in such scenes in a qled. Well forum is already full of misinformation regarding tv’s and let’s add qled has pure blacks and no blooming to the list. Please don’t get me wrong for staying facts.FYI this is a Samsung q90A

I agree and get your point regarding blacks being poor on an IPS panel but I believe Apple is using a customised ADS panel from BOE with increased native contrast . I had read very positive reviews of the new iPad pro mini led performance from all mainstream reviewers so this blooming phenomenon is very surprising maybe it is the Samsung Super Amoled Tablet users creating mischief ;)

And moreover top grade QLEDs are as costly as OLEDs if not more. So they might as well buy OLEDs for that price point. After going OLED, we can't turn back to these huffing and puffing to solve multiple problems related to LCDs.

You get 150 nits peak brightness on OLEDs at 100% window. It looks like a joke in daytime so please.

U have many videos in u tube made to test black levels. Just type lg Oled demo videos. I can share 100s of such example. But pple will call me a fan boy for talking facts.

have u seen in any professional reviews videophiles selecting a qled comparing side by side with an Oled? Only area it wins is brightness and every other criteria Oled wins. Like it or not Oled is currently the king in videophile community

I fully believe in your assessment , I too have a CX n once I get my QN90A I will do a proper, fair n impartial comparison between the two n obviously post my findings here.

Samsung q90 vs c1 side by side. Enjoy this image roflZ jeez that blooming
Man seriously, you bring in the condition where OLED has edge - pitch black room. Add in come Ambient light and you your little blooming issue goes for toss. Now qled will show you much better HDR ( much more pop) and bigger color gamut
Fun fact. : OLED can't produce perfect whites.
