Didn't they stop making the PX100 since they introduced the PX100-ii?

Ya PX100 ii came out very recently and probably they are selling off older version at a bargain.
The difference is Px100 ii has the chord on only one side while the earlier one had it on 2 sides.


Price sounds reasonable given that it is being phased out and white is not the preferred colour. The seller sold 7650 products with 99.5% rating.

He also has other sennheiser models at normal prices. So this could be really on sale.

We will never know if it is fake though.

He has not shown the case in product description photos.Other one has shown the box packing.

Spoke to the seller today, as even i found the pictures to be misleading- some have cord on both sides (PX-100) whereas some have on one side (PX-100 II). The seller confirmed that this is a older model i.e. PX-100 which had cords on both sides. He said he'll get the pictures changed.

Also, one thing i observed that the some of the close up pictures show the finishing to be sub-par, but the seller claims its original with 2 year manufacturer warranty and i can take to any sennheiser service centre across the world to get it fixed within the warranty period.!

Surprisingly, all the sellers who are selling this model on a discount only have the white one. I guess the whites ones remained unsold and now they already have the newer version, so clearing the left over stock at a discount.! just a guess.

lets see how it turns out to be, i ll post a small review once i get it.

I have heard HD180 and it is junk (no offense).
Px100 is light years ahead.

Px100II is almost same as Px100. There will NOT be fakes as these came out very recently.
If you can put up with the white color and are ok with chords in both sides (and of course if they are original), px100 is a better bargain.

I, however will get a black PX100ii by spending 1000 more. Dont like white myself.

If you want a completely different league of sound though, get the HD 238 for 4k.

Don't worry.. I feel the same way.. I fact they were gifted.. So if I decide to buy, I think it should be a well informed descision and there is no place for audition, my only support is you people..

PX100 are much appreciated than PX100-2 & looking at price,they are good deal.Few facts that these can leak sound while loud listening.They dont have larger driver as regular HP.

I have an Audio Technica ATH M50 and have listened to PX100 for extended time in office. Comfort level of PX100 is next to none. You wont fell as if you are wearing them at all. The feeling will be like hearing sound from home stereo as there is not much feeling in the hear/ears. The M50 is just the opposite. It is like your head suddenly weighs double (though the sound itself is incomparable).

Sound leaks - yeah it does. But not as some will make you believe. You can wear in office without issues.

A nice comparison.I have ATH50,but I didnt feel weight as issue.Can you pls.let me know how PX100 differs from ATH50 is sound?Soundstage?Frequency response?
