Right now I am listening to ...

So true! Actually afj, they seem to belong to Trash Metal genre.

I myself am not a huge metal fan. But I love the kind once in a while, mostly the hits from the chart. My current inclination is towards alternative rock songs like Coldplays Viva la Vida and Nickelbacks Rockstar.

Cheers.

chris martin of coldplay is an amazing artist. i love their album a rush of blood to the head. nickelback is nice but his songs are too similar - like you've heard one you've heard them all. but still very nice.

theres a guy contesting on american idol called adam lambert. have you heard him? what control, range, hold on the song...he's one guy im hoping that will revive 'rock bands'. check this performance of his out

YouTube - Adam Lambert - Satisfaction (Top 36 Performance group 2) (HQ Audio)

I have 4 CDs worth of Sheila chandra mp3s - terribly boring. Shes infatuated with her own voice and her music comes at the expense of layering the tracks with a fullsome instrumental mix.

Music for crocodiles by Susheela on the other hand is really great!

HTH

yes i did sample out a cd of sheila chandra ,i too felt it was very boring, theres no scope for instrumentation its jst her vocals all the way

Not a big fan of the idol series, infact i hardly follow any singing reality shows. Will check out vdo though. Thanks.

Hi,

Dinyaar Am very glad you too like the artist :)! I have almost all his Cd's and use them as my reference material to evaluate any given system !

Have you heard his latest one "Old Friends AND New Roads" ?? if not please do, so its a must listen album !his vocals haunt you, With minimum instruments in use you can really dig deep for details and ambiance !! Ohh absolute treat for ears :yahoo: !

Regards.

Very true SG. Vocals + fewer instruments are great to listen to and relax and also to judge HIFI.
I dont have this album u mention but will have it by month end as i have a list of cds i want and my in laws have agreed to bring them down.
Is this cd available locally?
Rgds

I got that. I am no longer into this kinda stuff, but play it rarely for ol'times sake :) I do love the numbers like strange brew etc etc ..

Cheers

Listening to Wrong by Depeche Mode and its various mixes. Gotta give some exercise for the speaker drivers:p

Just got ( Not listened to cds yet)

The beast of Alice Cooper(WB). Long since I had heard him. Had cassetes in 80's. I used to like him, he's good.
the best of Candle box(Rhino). I have heard only one number and I liked a lot so I bought their best, any idea how they are.
Others I bought 25gr works Verdi and Dvorak. Best of Roxy music. Knopfler with emmylou harris. (I just heard them some numbers are ok. otherwise his music is sounding repetitive, i have all his albums till shangrila.

What's the setup you have? Rocking I'm sure.

I like the track Guzarish instead/more from Ghajini. Have to get Khiladi CD. Saw it a long time ago and don't even remember any of the songs...

One of my favorite albums. The SQ/recording is great (or is that because of my PC). Just kidding!!!

But tracks like "Broken Wings" will just transport you...
