i cant wait
this is about PS51D550""plasma..the most vfm 3d plasma in town...,not d7 or d8 series leds,.....anyway,has someone in the forum got hands on one of them..or even got a demo of it in the samsung plaza showroooms?
btw, heard ppls in other forums whining about much reflections & glares in the tv(though plasmas normally have them)...but to what extent?.....also many ppls having issues regarding floating blacks,sudden random change in brightness contrast!.....apart from these issues(which is best subjective)....the majority consensus is that it is the best midlevel vfm 3d plasma to make entry till yet in 2011....
surely,i'm also very interested too!.....but want to have some first-hand feedback about the particular model from esteemed knowledgeable & picky members here, pre purchase!
so if u do have the inputs,plz fill in!

on sat and sunday i have visited vijay sales ,croma and many other places inquired about d series plasma .but they do not have price as well as tv for display ,they have told me it will take at least a week to bring the tv 2 the show room
Hahaha same thing happened to me at bangalore
i was at samsung exclusive showroom in mantri mall, sampige road
and kathreguppe , reliance digital , girias , but none had the model even some exclusive show room guys weren't aware of the ps51d550 model they say there isn't any 3d 51" plasma hahaha whatta bummers
although the guy at mantri mall samsung exclusive showroom said this model will be coming to the show room next week and will be available for rs 75,000
so i am making a plan to buy this model elsewhere other than karnataka like in andhra pradesh or tamil nadu where they have lower vat 4% rather than 13.5% a significant 9.5% down
what do u guys think plz share ur responses?

me too sailing in the same boat , Saturday i checked at mantri mall that guy showed me on the catalog and priced at 75 k,croma rajajinagar was seeing stars "51 inches ha SAAR!!! " .samsung rajanjinagar showroom expecting in two weeks.
ha are u from bng which area so if we both combine can we get a good deal from any company showroom

Although it might be cheap but it will not be cheaper than what what it is offered in other states like TN,AP B'cos they have 4% vat and in here we have 14.5% a staggering 10.5 % you Do the math how much will you save for a 75k item

I am sure we could get the pricing of atleast 65K as the Samsung guy was retracting the 49k tag after I called him back... However he immediately said he can offer in 68K once he confirms availability.. I personally feel without any goodies, 50K should be a good price for this mid range plasma of 2011..
for your information there are no goodies available for the current model I've researched a lot and it has been confirmed that there are no goodies only the TV and the remote in the box you have to purchase the Bluetooth enabled 3d glasses
