It will better to start a new thread. At the price mentioned you could go in for a Denon HTIB such as DHT-391XP or Onkyo HTIB such as Onkyo Amazer series. Do not know the exact prices.
But my sincere opinion is that you should wait, save and buy a proper/full-fledged HT system made from separates.

Highly subjective my friend. Test for yourself and see. I personally preferred the passive 3D (LG Cinema 3D) for many other reasons not related to video.

personally i think d550 would not b much different from d490 which i demoed few days ago & going by different websites, they r quite similar except the major difference of 720 & 1080p...the one thing i am a bit worried about is the amount of reflection which is the first think that struck me on the d490...i demoed the 42&50" v20 but apparently didnot find so much reflection,but mayb that was coz i saw that during night time in a position where lighting was bit away,whereas in case of d490,it was in daytime placed opposite big room size transparent window panes!

Just bought the D550 @ 67,000 in Delhi, but it didn't had Free 3D glassses in the box !

Congrats on your purchase of Samsung 51PSd550. How is the picture quality? I also stay in Delhi, Kindly let me know the dealer from whom you bought this piece for Rs 67k ? I had requested forums.askskt to do the review for this tv. Here is their review "This seems to be a very good range TV with really good value for money, the similar Tvs tested also did not qualify for such a good rating from ASKSKT team.
The panel is good but pretty reflective , since it is not a diffused , higher end pro panel it justifies the reflection and it is a inherent problem to almost every plasma in highly lit room.
The Saturation of colors in this TV is excellent and though a little oversatured the colors are not washed unlike the low end plasmas and lcd available in the market today, so a thumbs up on color.
In terms of Color Accuracy the Tv is just above a good threshold level, the blues have almost negligible flaw in accuracy, whereas reds have a higher variance in accuracy and green seem to vary from the exact accuracy by about 35%.
In Terms of Variance in illumination this model has a variance of about 6-8 % on both negative and positive side.
In Terms of black levels this model is pretty good , saying which when the brightness increases beyond 65% the black tends towards grey.
So we would say the TV earns a 6.8 out of 10 Points from ASKSKT team in terms of performance on quality, whereas combined with a good value of money and features we add almost extra point to
the TV and hence it earns a 7.5 out of 10 .
But please demo this piece for flaws in the screen before buying and once you get it home please review this model in complete darkness of the room to check for floating colors and variation in illumination across the screen."

i think it's amazing bang for bucks 3dtv @ 67k...its perhaps MOST vfm "BIG" TV in India till date!...
the tv has also reached my place & i'm going for a demo by tomorrow or day after.... let me see how impressive & practical i find that for purchase!
till then,all the best for potential d550 buyers & also expecting some good detailed review from the new owners!
