Only yesterday, I ordered 3d glasses from sainsonic.com for about 20 $ with 3.8 $ shipping charges. In total about 24$ for one set of glasses. See the link below

I had also ordered the same glasses from sainsonic for about 24 $ per pair. But their standard delivery is pathetic. I still have not recieved the glasses since I made the order around two months agot. For last one month they are stuck at mumbai airport sorting office. When one try to reach the customer care of sainsonic they tell that once the parcel reaches india they are not responsible further and you have to contact india post. India post is even more pathetic. Either the number does not get connected or if gets connected nobody picks up the phone. I have managed to contact them only once in the last one month.
I think its better to pay some extra bucks to get the delivery in time. I dont know whether I will get my glasses ever. I remember one forum member had the similar experience

The rechargeable battery for one of my sainsonics died in under one week's of usage so not too sure of their durability either.

I bought a non branded rechargeable glass from ebay india. The first one I received was faulty, I returned it and bought battery based glass. It is very good, but build quality is not great.
Thanks baijuxavior, can you check and tell me which brand were the faulty ones - and if possible the link to battery ones?

They are non branded glasses. The rechargeable glass is not recommended as it had severe ghosting and also the battery stopped charging after a few weeks. The seller is from Kochi and he was very helpful in replacing the glass with a battery based one. The battery compartment is very flimsy and should be used very carefully. 3D is very good in this model. No ghosting or cross talk.

I used the second type and they stopped working within few days. Currently using dlp corps 3d battery powered glasses. They are working great. Bought them from amazon us.
After almost 7 weeks of ordering glasses from sainsonic, they accepted that the glasses are lost in transition and they gave an option of total refund or replacement, so i chose for replacement but with express shipping. They agreed for that but i am still waiting for the new order details. Lets see how the express shipping really works. So i agree their standard delivery is really pathetic. Since the quality is ok for the price, i have given them a second shot.
After they changed to to express shipping and re-shipped the glasses, I received all of them in good condition in 4 days from china. So it took time and I did get them. So lesson is we need to select express shipping even thought it costs you a little more. I had to pay about 1200 Rs as customs to bluedart and about 6000 when I bought them, So it's 7200 for 4 glasses.
Good to hear you got your glasses Vijay. Can you share the link and current price and mode of payment. The landed price (believe 7200 for 4 pcs) is as good as Amazon US.
Have read this thread a couple of times. I am just about ready to pull the trigger on the 5380. Will be buying it from Amazon US and getting it shipped to Mumbai. Since this is a big purchase, I am giving it a lot of thought. I have a few doubts/questions.
1. Amazon Shipping - Just worried about the package being handled in a rough manner. Plus there is the fear of the package getting we due to the rains. Should I wait till october? Or am I just being paranoid?
2 - Aramex - Have heard that the final stage of delivery will be handled by Aramex. Have now clue how efficient/careful these guys will be. Is there any way I can upgrade this to DHL or Fedex and get more peace of mind?
Would appreciate some gyaan from the gurus to put my fears to rest...

I bought my Acer 5370 by Amazon, and got it delivered at Mumbai. The delivery condition was good enough, and no complaints regarding that. Also, the packing over and above the original box packing was good enough to take care of any rain or showers.
So you can go ahead with amazon and get the equipment quickly for yourself..
