My LCD TV has down-firing speakers. Since the speakers are not directed towards front of TV, I feel one has to keep the sound level higher than normal in order that the dialogues are clearly audible to the audience, especially if the background noise from surrounding is high. This results in TV sound spreading to nearby rooms and disturbing the occupants there. Please tell me whether my inference is correct. And if it is then will I be able to significantly reduce the disturbance to nearby rooms by adding a 2.1 ch speaker system to the TV such that the satellites face towards the TV audience and the dialogues will be better audible without keeping TV volume level as high as in present situation?
My TV is SONY 32" LCD and has RCA outputs for connecting external audio system.
Thanks for your help.
