This is the first time I’ve even heard of this movie, and that clip just scrambled my brain!
An IMDB reviewer summarizes it thus - Siddhartha done as a Rock and Roll Comedy Western. If that’s an accurate description, I wonder if that explains Elvin Jones’ participation. He was a staunch follower of Buddhism, after all.

Nice collection. I love the Concierto album. Also Joe Pass has a series of records (mostly standards) with Ella Fitzgerald which are great - just voice and guitar.

Park Avenue Petite and Step Lightly, I always thought were both Blue Mitchell tunes. Five spot after dark is a beautiful track and I thought it was Curtis Fuller's (There's a video on youtube of Benny Golson meeting a frail Curtis Fuller in the hospital).
I Remember Clifford is a choice tune again and one i love. So many other great songs. The man was a Top Cat for sure.

Benny Golson was the last guy on Tom Hanks’ list in The Terminal.
Of the 50+ jazz musicians in that famous photograph - A Great Day in Harlem - I think only Sonny Rollins is still with us. End of an era.
