Finally, got my blu rays today... The good part its customs free. I'm just waiting for the weekend to watch them.

I had thought of ordering the Matrix Trilogy which was available at 17.99 but now that only 3 pieces are remaining they have increased the price to 25.95. This is really unfair and means that once people start to order they increase the rates.

As just4kix said, Amazon errs on the side of caution by a large margin. I ordered on 12th May and got a dispatch email on 14th with a delivery date of June 7th. I received the package on 21st May.

Excellent service and great prices. Planning to order a huge chunk now.

We had this discussion a few months back and decided to add in the signature, one's collection (as you see in mine). You just need to register with a site like blu-ray.com and build your list. Unfortunately, many dont do it (incl you )

I came across this thread by Googling for Amazon UK delivery problems for items shipped via Royal Mail.

I purchased 8 DVDs from Amazon UK on 30/4/2011 on noticing their "free shipping to India" offer. The order amount was 25.82 and my CC was charged Rs 1,975.67. ETA was 24th May, but the parcel hasn't arrived yet. I wrote to their customer support about this and got a reply (seemingly from a human, and not a CREPL) in an hour or so. They asked me to wait till June 3rd and promised that I won't be asked to wait any longer than that. There's also a link in the email to click on if the parcel doesn't arrive by then. Guess I'll just wait for another weekbefore clicking it.

This time it took 23 days to receive the post.

A small tip for all PS3 users to play BBC Planet Earth Bluray.

Video is in 1080i/50Hz format.

For playing in PS3 we need enable 50Hz support in PS3 "Display Settings".

Otherwise the Bluray wont play and PS3 freezes.

But the The way Back BD doesnt play on my Panny BD60. Found out the hard way that it doesnt play BD's marked just Region B Dont know if the firmware upgrade will help in overcoming this issue versus modding it.

Thank god most of the BD's from Amazon UK are region free or A&B.

Thank god most of the BD's from Amazon UK are region free or A&B.

That is why I have refrained from ordering anything but when specifically marked "Region Free" from Amazon.co.uk. I have a region A player and you can never tell whether the disc is Region free or Region B when not specially marked.

Hi Friends,

Today i came accross this thread and thought of sharing my experince with Amazon [UK]; I used to order items [couple of watches and around 60 BDs including free shipping] from Amazon Uk and my friends at UK used to bring it home [they used to travel a lot].

From last month I could get the items directly delivered to my IND address with the promotion of FREE SHIPPING TO INDIA.

Already received 23 BDs and pre-orderd The Complete Superman Collection [Blu-ray] along with other four[Earliest dipatch date is 13Jun] .

Till this date i had good experience with the INDIA delivery except once [9 items came loose, as the box was in opened state - no one cared to repack it].

A word of caution :: The items are sent with ordinary port without tracking information; It is a risky affair where the items CAN BE misplaced during transit. Since i have relatives in the postal department they used to collect it for me;

The items used to reach me in an aound 3 weeks time; Among the 23 items orderd [free shipping to india], one [HERO blu-ray] was sent with tracking information and not recieved yet - almost one month. I have communicted this to Amazon.uk and they are trying to track the shipment; got assurance that the amount will be refunded if the package does not reach me by June 1st week.
