Hi,

There is no prerequisite as of now other than what you're now (hifi member). You are most welcome to attend the meet, but the meet is yet to be fixed.

A new viral infection has been reported, and commonly found in those who frequent a website India's Audio Video Home Theatre and Hi-Fi Discussion Forum. It's called Hifiyopia!! The symptoms are

1. Compulsive use of acronyms like CDP, DVDP, DAC etc
2. Start daydreaming about stereo and/or ht systems when hearing words like "bright", "laid-back", "harsh" in a perfectly normal conversation (not involving audio / video)
3. Have to login to Hifivision at least twice a day!


Btw interesting name you got there. Till recently I thought some part of your hifivision name is derived from your actual name. Only now I realize that its an alternate take on "Thadi Gina Thom" (right?)!

Yes, you are right about my name: it is the seven-count (misra) ThaDhiGiNaThom --- Tha, Dhi, Gi Na Thom --- sounding like one of those American names where they like to include the initial

No consensus has evolved for the third hifi meet in Chennai.Probably May being a holiday season we have not bestowed our attention to this aspect.I request fellow members to consult through this forum and fix a mutually agreeable date for the meet.
