Can I carry a 46" LED TV from US to India

yes you can carry.
check with airline for extra amount and TV box limit
pay duty on TV at airport - Now its 30% (bribe is also an option)

when TV is in home -
take any service - tata sky, airtel (ask for setTOPbox with HDMI)
NTSC/PAL doest not matter when we use HDMI

Power supply -
you need 240-110 converter (if tv supports 100-240...no need )
check TV "W" power consumption value (buy transformer for more than recommended rating)

Hi,

Simple is do the math..check the price of the TV in USA, add the customs and taxes not forgetting the airlines surcharge and see whats the estimate cost, then compare the available TV rates in India in terms of same size and performance and see if it is worth to move a TV from USA to India. Also the volt converter from 110 - 220. The biggest of all..warranty!

Hope this helps...

Even with HDMI NTSC/PAL matters.
You will need a TV capable of handling PAL signals - most US Tvs don't do this
Or
an STB capable of outputting NTSC compatible - most STB s don't
Or
A PAL to NTSC HD capable converter

I think the compulsory duty imposed last year killed this option of getting Tvs unless you are coming over by opting transfer of residence
