can we connect preamp to active speakers!

I am planning to buy, onkyo prsc5509 preamp. Also I have in mind yamaha dxr12 active speakers. now my friends just wanted to know if we can connect them together.. need your help!

technically yes..off course..
as the RCAs we feed to any active speakers are nothing but pre amp outs..
