Gents,

I was replacing the cart on my TT to Shure M-97Xe and I broke the blue ground lead. They were in a rather precarious shape. Any place i can get replacement leads. If i can get them at a decent price, I would prefer to change them.

Thanks
~M

Shure headshell leads are available online. Since you are moving to the M97Xe, not a bad idea to upgrade to these. Headshell wires are usually considered part of the headshell however, if your M97xe is brand new, you may find a set of headshell wires in the pack. When I bought my M44-7, I got a set. I purchased another set online for my Garrard RC210 headshell.

IIRC there is no head shell wire in the M97xE pack.

@mstillalive: if it's possible, take the headshell to a friendly neighborhood mobile phone repair shop. They will have the skill and equipment to re-solder it. It's not a tough job.

And take out wire for soldering, don't do it on cart. Keep cart away from soldering job. Rather keep it at home, only take wire to soldering.

I was gifted the M97xe that I had, hence did not had the original kit. I got a headshell wire kit with the M44-7 and Technics Headshell combo.

Thank you all. The Shure M97xe did not come with the headshell leads. Good idea to take the leads to the mobile repair guy! Having said that, getting the leads repaired is an interim solution while I look at getting a fresh set of these(They are not in a very good condition).
@reubensm: You mentioned ordering a set online. Was this off any Indian websites ?

Thanks

I bought a Shure headshell wire kit on ebay.de (I think it was), not from India.
