Hello folks,
This is my first post in a very long time. I have been looking at buying an inverter AC for my dad's 10*10 room. I narrowed it down to 2 models FTKH35SRV16 and FTKP35SRV16
Buy FTKH35 - Inverter 3 Star 1 Ton Split Air-Conditioner online - Daikin

Buy FTKP35 - Inverter 4 Star 1 Ton Split Air-Conditioner online - Daikin

Reliance digital are offering free installation with a free locally branded stabilizer. Came back empty handed though as they were telling me that they would cover the warranty for the AC during the 1st year and not Daikin.
I was under the impression that Daikin were to install and take care of the warranty during the 1st year, including the 3 free service visits. Now, they are authorized sellers but could going with them be an issue.
Alternatively should i be looking at other re-sellers?
I haven't checked as to who covers the compressor warranty but i am assuming Reliance would.

Contact Daikin customer care and make sure you buy AC from authorized dealer, else you might have to face hassle in future.

They are authorized as per the list on the Daikin website. The Daikin website also talks about installation by a Daikin Authorized Reseller being mandatory. So all good but when the sales guy suggests that any issues arising during the warranty period are covered directly by Reliance and not Daikin. Now that's hard to understand.
I did notice folks on other forums talking about their purchase from Reliance but it is just not clear as to how their installation and warranties were handled.
I shall talk to Daikin's CC on Monday. I'll also get in touch with another reseller in the vicinity.

In the meanwhile ,anyone here who bought their AC from RD? What about their experiences/know-how with the warranty and installation?

I would not buy from them if they say that they're covering the warranty instead of the original company, raises suspicion. May be they're selling the refurbished Daikin ACs as new and providing dealer warranty instead of manufacturer warranty.

Why not mitsubishi split AC ? My technician tells me they are the best. For window, nothing beats OG.

I bought a fully automatic washing machine from RD. But had after thoughts, its always better to buy from direct dealer.

RD warranty support sucks.

OG? Sorry i'm confused.

I'm looking for a Window AC (1Ton should suffice) but should be as silent as possible. Split AC is not an option in this rented accommodation.

EDIT: Sorry op for hijacking your thread.

OG??
Is it General AC from Fujitsu-General?

Yes, that is correct. They are very commonly called O General. The error comes from the company logo on the left of the name. It looks like an "O" but it is actually a "G" in a circle.

Finally bought Daikin JTKM35SRV, a 5.8 ISEER 1 ton, from Devi for 42K + 3.1K for install. Took about 5-6 days from the time of booking till the installation. The first time we finalized an ATKP 2017 model for 38k including standard install. They sent us a 2016 version. Anyways the next day we finalized the JTKM.

The 3.1 included 1.5k standard install+7m of copper wire(100/m)+950 for the stand

They sent their installer but confirmed that the warranty including service visits would be covered by Daikin for the 1st year.
The Daikin website confirms that installers can be from Daikin Authorized resellers and not necessarily from the company.
