Denon 1911 & 1912 Group Buy

Super awesome !! If this group-buy doesn't work then I don't think anything else would. This is the best option available anywhere in India mate. Too bad I booked my 671 recently.
Baby steps in the right direction... hopefully it wdnt be too long before group buys like this help in reducing the over inflated prices in India.

Wish you the best !

Price is tempting. Are there any compromise on Warranty? Is that for 3 years or 1 year?

HI , DENOM
I am interested in the 1911 ,provided there will be no hassles with after sale services! sent you A PM Please chck.

Ok. Denom!! Yet another group-buy initiative!
Good work again!
Probably you would be the god-father of group-buy's initiatives here!!

Hey Denom, any update..? Do you think if i go personally to the dealer (of course once we finalize on this group deal), i can buy it using a credit card, or is it only cash deal.

thanks for the info..

Just spoke to pro fx's new store in mulund, Mumbai. They have not yet got stock of denon avr1912, but say it ll cost 45k. AVR1911 is available @ 38k under Ganesh festival offer.!
Main point though is, they are claiming that pro fx is the only authorized dealer in india and all other dealers who claim to be import it from Russia or China and the warranty they offer will not be valid.!
Well, even the denon website shows pro fx as the sole distributor for india.
No intentions to spoil this hot deal, but just want to double check.

Guys with different experiences/views please post.

Cheers

Hi all,

Sorry for not updating for a couple of days as was buried in work, still am but just wanted to update all as my inbox was busted with queries!

The dealer is getting the AVR's from Kripa International. He asked them about the 3 years warranty being provided by ProFX, for which they replied that ProFx is charging more for the extended warranty in their pricing offered to the buyers & saying its Denon Warranty. Having said that, the prospective buyer either buys from ProFx at their price or he buys from this group buy in price offered & avail the 1 year warranty that goes with it.

So now its upto the prospective buyers to decide which way this deal goes.

Hope everything is clarified & clear. If the minimum 5 buyers group is attained, the buyers can avail of this group buy price & delivery will be ASAP as the dealer has the stock ready with him (1911 & 1912)

Suggest the confirmed buyers to reply here so that all know whether 5 buyers are confirmed or not & then I intimate these buyers with the details by PM.

Note:

Buyer has to pay the full amount in cash to the dealer either in person & collect the AVR himself or pay via bank transfer & then the dealer will ship it across to the buyers city via his nominated transporter.

Shipping will be charged @ actuals, the amount will have to be paid by the buyer to the transporter once he collects the AVR from the transporters address in his respective city.

Best of Luck :)

As mentioned earlier I am in you guys have to just let me know the how to work the payments and logistics of picking up the 1911 (is the difference between the two only that the 1912 can be LAN networked). I have asked another question through a different thread can any of you guys help me on this.
I want to use the multzone to be able to play multiple devices in multiple locations. i.e. lets say watch a movie/cable in the family room while the CD player plays music in the hall. I have scanned through the online manual of both and under the section using Zone2 they have a footnote which says this is possible only with analog connections or something like that I am not sure what this means. Can someone help me understand this better.

differences:

-1912 is network capable using LAN/usb Wifi adaptor, 1911 is not
-1912 has 6 HDMI 1.4 inputs, 1911 has 4
-1912 has no 1080p upscaling, 1911 has
-1912 has Apple Airplay, 1911 has no airplay but you can control the iphone/ipod connected via usb port in the front using the denon remote (music only).

well these are some I know about, there might be more.

cheers

I would say then in that case I would go with the 1912. Nindo can you also help me on my other query. Under the multizoning section in the manual it clearly mentions that it is possible but there is a footnote which is puzzling. Could the dealer help me ansywer this query before I buy the unit.

I am actually not quite sure about your query, but my guess is you can connect a source - say a cd player though the analogue in option (l/r at the back) and then assign the surround back out (2 ch out of the 7.1 ch) to play this source so that you have 2 different sources being played out at different locations at the same time.

still, i would request the GURUs here to comment in more detail.

From what I have read you are correct. You cannot use digital inputs (HDMI/optical/co-axial) for zone 2.
