Denon 1911 & 1912 Group Buy

Hi all,

So far 2 confirmed buyers(Heeresh & Karl), need 3 more buyers & the group buy will be ON!

FYI, Nindo & Ayush are not interested in this deal anymore.

I am just waiting for feedback from an audio guy who I asked to check clearly on my requirements with the specs of of the 1911/1912 and then can confirm. Need a day or two more.

can it be shipped to new delhi?

Absolutely bro. Shipping charges will be additional & at cost. You pay the transporter the shipping charges when you collect the AVR from his office in your city.

Regards

No probs, just hope that he has 1911 (if you need this model) in stock by the time you & others are ready to buy.

Hi all,

Pls remember we need 5 buyers to make this deal work. so far 2 are confirmed, so 3 others required to make the deal available.

Best Wishes

The prices are very good. But I would like to warn buyers outside Mumbai about KEI service. I bought my Denon 1910 AVR from KEI (through Modern World, Bangalore). Initially had a good impression about their after sales as there was a dent in the top cover of the AVR and the AVR was promptly replaced(albeit after a wait period of 3 days but that's understandable as it was being shipped from Mumbai). But after that things have been how it should be, my AVR needed a firmware upgrade as I was facing the issue of muted HD audio (check this thread ->http://www.hifivision.com/blu-ray-d...-ma-track-oppo-bd80-through-denon-1910-a.html). I was promised a prompt response and rectification of the issue by KEI but it never happened. I followed it up with phone calls/mails to them but they never tried to solve the problem. Even a representative of KEI have responded to my thread here but it also turned out to be a vague promise which was never honoured. I think the issue is because of the fact that KEI doesn't have any after sales/service wing at Bangalore and for everything one would be at the mercy of Mumbai service center. Unless they've changed their attitude and service network, I would suggest Bangalore buyers to stay away from KEI. Yes, their price is always better than Pro-Fx and that's where I would like to laud them.
Pro-Fx doesn't honour the KEI's warranty and that's another sad story and I can't understand why they shouldn't honour a Denon India Warranty.
Sorry Denon, it's not an attempt to derail your thread. What you've done is an amazing job and sure many will be benefited. But I had to post about the ground realities. And a disclaimer, this should not be an issue at all for buyers from Mumbai and it's nearby places.

Hello Denom

First of all, my idea is not to hijack this thread. Neither i have any personal interest. Just trying to help our forum members as you are.

I have negotiated rates for these Denon AVR's with a Dealer in Mumbai by convincing them that maximum members on this forum would take benefit of same. No minimum commitment is required.

If you permit, I can post them here. If not, I will start a new thread. Please suggest.

Hi Darshan,

I don't know what to say, as anyway the thread is now derailed. Yes, please reveal the details here. Let the prospective buyers decide for themselves.

Hi konfused,

I have never dealt with KEI before so have no clue about their ASS(after sales service) You have put forth your views, whether its right to do so in this thread or would have it been better to do so in another thread is not for me to decide. I have tried to maintain all the info given as transparently as possible. Decision is in the buyers hands, as they are the ones who will either benefit or not. As always I have just put forth the details of an apparent good deal, nothing more/nothing less. Irrespective of how this group buy goes, I for one will continue to search for good deals & will keep posting on them, whether one likes it or not :D

Hi Darshan,

Though I am out of this group buy, I have a few suggestions to make:

1. Post the prices only if they are lower than what denom has posted/negotiated.
2. Check with the dealer about the warranty - 1 yr/3 yr- will it be entertained by any authorised Denon dealer/service centre (PRO FX, KEI etc) or one has to go this dealer only (in which case it would be more of a dealer warranty than company warranty).
3. check the shipping costs for outstation buyers- included/excluded in the offered price.
4. check whether the dealer will accept payment only in cash or credit/debit cards are accepted.
5. Power input - 110v or 230/240 v

just suggestions, answering which will answer a lot of questions beforehand.

cheers

Hi Darshan,

I don't know what to say, as anyway the thread is now derailed. Yes, please reveal the details here. Let the prospective buyers decide for themselves.

I have negotiated below rates for Denon AVR's with a Dealer in Mumbai by convincing them that maximum members on this forum would take benefit of same. NO minimum commitment is required.

Denon 1911 @ Rs.30,000/- Bill & Warranty (1 Year) + Courier Chrgs for Outstation
Denon 1912 @ Rs.36,000/- Bill & Warranty (1 Year) + Courier Chrgs for Outstation

Warranty will be supported by the dealer themselves or Kripa - (Another Distributor for Denon). As informed by Dealer, Kripa has informed Denon about Profx not accepting the Services for the products sold by them and Denon has now instructed Profx to accept the same.
However, i would say Profx will NOT honour this warranty to be on safer side. Make you decisions accordingly.

I am not sure if i am allowed to post dealer's contact details here. If interested, I can PM contact details of the dealer.

I have tried best in extracting above information. Please clear all your doubts directly with the dealers, if any before making your purchase.

There is nothing personal against you when I posted my experience. I just wanted our forum members to know what I've experienced as I don't want other also face the same situation without knowing what lies ahead. At least then people can make an informed decision. I repeat, it's nothing personal against you or even KEI. And let me repeat again that I'm not trying to derail the thread. That's not at all my intention and I'm not sure why you are thinking so.

Hi all,

Have been traveling past 2 days & haven't had the opportunity to check my mails/access the internet. So who all are still confirmed for this group buy? Let me know so that I can get an idea whether the deal is ON or not. Else I will close this thread,
Confirmed buyers : kindly therefore do the needful

Regards

hey guys.... that seems to be a great buy...!
im new to this forum, just wanted to know that can we 5 people (interested to buy 1912s) get together, and do these 'group buys'??

Hello darshandenom,

I was looking for a denon 1911 and 30k is too good a price. Is there a group buy still open ?. If so i am interested.Or is it that we can go directly and buy for 30k as per darshan's post.
1 year warranty seems ok to me as long as any of the dealers in bangalore will honour it.

Thanks,
Antony

I have PM dealer details. Just call them before you go. Sometimes dealers might not have too many pieces in stock.
