Total Cost of all the Components= [8500-4200+4500]=8800/- (excluding 16X10000 mfd)
I think it will be better if all of us transfer the amount (8800/-) in Sachin Account, and then Sachin will transfer a consolidated amount to your account (Omishra).

Yes, only custom duty part is unknown yet. Still I will compile list once again.

Hi Sajith,
I have already posted this here http://www.hifivision.com/diy/28245-diy-pass-f5-turbo-v2-initiated-16.html this price did not include 24 Mosfets and 16 10000uf power supply caps.
Omishra got a reply from Buzforb for Mosfet and Diodes,his price is better for this.We are trying to find out a cheaper source of parts without compromising the quality.

Sachin, little correction. We included 24 MUR Diodes from element 14 but MOSFET and power caps were not part of calculation. Now MOSFETs added with difference of 300Rs. Customs if any will be at actuals. I will publish information.

All please note these are all only parts to populate PCB except power caps and Rs. 8800 for these parts.

Also the question is do we need 8 X 10000 caps. May be we can decrease the micro farad capacity. Original F2 T sayc 8 x 10000 for both the channels

I agree having more is good but at the same time too much more capacitance may not be good for Speakers.

FM Raghunath sent me few pics of Elna 100000uf caps which he bought from a local shop.

He also had few 4700uf 50V Nippon Chemi-con caops from same shop.He opend one cap to check authenticity :

I take all nippon chemicon ones as fake or used until proved otherwise. Mine were on the companies old datasheets and one cannot comment on looks.

I even removed the cover of one of my used ones. It had a k shape marked on top which is usually not the case with original ones. I have misplaced the image of the actual markings on the capacitor top. You need to google for those.

I will prefer if you guys buy costlier but better nichicon, denon or panasonic capacitors. Those who want something cheaper may buy samwha or Indian brands. I have had capacitor explosions previously and know how awful it gets. I have used CE FUH ones which are basic and want to replace them after my pass 5 gets all set up. Waiting for you guys to get the heatsinks and enclosure designs going.

ELNA ones look cool. If you want pics of indian ones I can post them too.

Folks,

No need to tear hair around capacitors. Please order them from Ebay from a seller called umut or capacitor21. They sell absolutely genuine stuff. I buy all caps for my Pass Amp builds from them. They also charge minimum for shipping.

Pandu - I do not get what you mean by saying more capacitance hurts speakers. That's not correct in the case of F5. BTW original FW has 8 X 15000 uF. Please believe me if the capacitance is low, then the amp starts humming at current draw. Anyone cringes on power supply capacitors is doing at his own risk.
