Fans of Television Series

Thanks Sam, Esantosh and Musicbee for the inputs on Michael J. Fox :)
I didn't realize he is the same child actor from 'Back to the Future'...

@Musicbee: Thanks, I'll look forward to the movies mentioned by you.

@sam9s: I'm also recording 'Boston Legal' on my Airtel HD DVR now a days (I wouldn't have bothered, but internet search made me realized that Boston Legal is nowhere available in HD, so I'm watching this show on TV now.)
and watched its first 4 episodes... I think show is picking up gradually, but one thing I dislike is... there are more than one cases being handled in a single episode... hope the trend changes and more engaging episodes come...
I'm also collecting 'Almost Human' ...planning to watch when I'm done with 'The Good Wife'...

These TV Shows are taking over my movie watching experience. I'm finding the tv shows more interesting than movies. Well, it can't be compared but currently I'm in for all these lovely shows.

Some finished recently:
Breaking Bad - Only one word... "Awesome"

Homeland - Always waiting to see the new episode. But now that the season 3 is over, will have to wait...

The Good Wife - Watched it a second time from the beginning with my better half, this time. Waiting for the 11th episode of season 5, which would be aired on 5th Jan, 2014.

Suits - Again an awesome show. Sadly will have to wait for the new season.

Touch - Was good till a point, discontinued later.

On Going Shows:
Scandal - Started last week and finished the first season, I must admit that at times you feel too much is there to digest, but overall its great. The one thing I liked in it, is the sudden changes of emotions.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1984-1994) - A true and remarkable masterpiece from Jeremy Brett as Holmes. Adventures spread over 7 seasons from different years, hell lot to watch.

Some suggestions on what to watch next... would be great.

Try flashforward. There are only 24 episodes.

Prison break.

If you find scandal good then maybe the west wing might interest you too.

Frasier and House

The series i watch just aired the last episode.
The best part and the sad part for the same is as i got myself a Sony Bravia thing were biggesr and more clear on it than before.
And it made the last episode epic.

This happened to be long time back, since I watched my first Hollywood TV series HEROES, and thereafter there was no looking back ....... TV Series have taken precedence over Movies by a long margin.

One Tv series that i really like apart from the usual ones is Jericho. I still remember it was stopped after the first season but due to viewer demand they came back with a second season just to give a closure to the series. Worth a watch if you have not seen yet.

Show summary from TV.com:

After a nuclear disaster caused by several terrorist attacks that destroyed 23 American cites, residents of a small Kansas town must come to terms with a new and very different reality as they wonder if they are the only ones left alive.

^^ My review on Jericho on this thread ...

Just finished watching the second and the last season of Jericho ... and man I am totally stumped, speechless ..... Of of the top mind blowing TV series for me. If season one was good, wait till you watch season 2, it just blows your mind ...The plot line is like this ....."US is nuked, why, by who nothing is told at the beginning, there is this one town called Jericho that is out side the radial blast. How the town survives thereafter and what is all behind the Bombing is what this show is all about ..." ..................The premises they have chosen to present is darn difficult to achieve with perfection and without perfection, this would look just like a fairy scenario, unrealistic and cheezy . But not jerocho they have nailed it right at the middle..... The PLOT presentation is immaculate and to top it all the performances, dialogues are top class, with some quality writing. Human emotions, circumstances and behaviour are there to believe. Each episode will create an addiction to continue, and the ending is just superb. ....... Strongly recommended for the guys who love some quality serious stuff. ...... its a clean 8.5/10 for this one.

Enjoyed Season 1 of a slightly old shoot em up called Banshee. No-holds barred, small town pulp plot with smart writing and over-the-top everything else. Season 2 will start in Jan, looking forward to see if it will extend well.

True... BANSHEE is awesome. It is the most explosive, thrilling, action-packed and the sexiest new TV show of 2013!! Already watched its 1st season twice :)
I had also posted a slight review of Banshee earlier.
Awaiting for the second season desperately.

Thanks for the heads up on Banshee guys... I'm Lovin' It.

In the middle of Episode 5 and will probably do a late nighter to finish as much as I can.

Is it a new story in Banshee everyday or one story being continued across episodes

Its a little of both... plots and subplots within a main story arc that all tie in together.

Its not a whodunit or a mystery that gets solved in that very episode... but yet there is a starting and an ending in each episode... nothing left hanging till the next episode... though after the titles of each episode there is a spoiler for a few seconds.

Do watch it... its good... but be warned lots of semi-porn/sex in the sack/skin show... not recommended for family viewing or kids.

after the titles of each episode there is a spoiler for a few seconds.

Yupp... don't stop watching as soon the episode ends and end credits start rolling... Because when the end credits finish, there is definitely something very important to be watched!! That's another thing with 'Banshee' :)

Breaking Bad - Final 5th Season ........ Finally completed BB. The last season started off pretty slow, but by the end it seriously was an emotional ride. Personally I would have been pretty satisfied had the series ended after season 4, but after season 5, I might actually agree that it justified the tag line "All bad things must come to an end"

On performance I must say, academy awards would probably have to device a new best actor award other than the oscars for Bryan Cranston ..... he was just, just phenomenal, not that the other acted bad, but Bryan Cranston was on an all together different level. Give this performance a great script, tight precise writing, absolutely grounded dialogues and great supporting cast and what you will get is what Breaking Bad is ..... 9.5/10 for this one
