Finally finished Prison Break and I found out that there indeed is such a thing as too many twists!
Quite frankly I got tired of plot twists and turns every 5 minutes, the first season was for me the most enjoyable one. The first season had great writing and allowed the plot to thicken and develop, there was an approach of deliberate contemplative construction. It was gritty, ingenious on the part of Schofield and his gang of escaping cons, there was method and unmistakable wit involved in their planning, the entire season was devoted to the development of the escape, slow and yet gripping. Loved that, loved the chess moves, law and outlaw trying to stay one step ahead of another.
From season 2 onward Chaos theory took centerstage! Make no mistake, the never ending twists will keep you hooked / glued to the TV / Laptop / cell phone episode after episode. That is what kept me going and I finished the show, immensely enjoyable, but I just missed the cat and mouse game (and a very intelligent cat and mouse game) which develops slowly, those who have watched it will know what I mean. If you have seen the movie 'The Day of the Jackal' then you would know what I mean. Season 3 was better in that aspect, season 4 is an all out adrenaline rush right to the finish line, cars running at full steam on the home stretch of the lap, and they all can win.
All in all, I would rate it 7.5/10, Thoroughly enjoyable.
