guys i have got some good news you...esp for all you lucky ali fans
he is contemplating of coming up with a lp of his new album and also give some of his classics in a 2 records set
just met him today and he has given me the task to finalize it.
now i need to know the momentum for the demand of his music which will help me find out the cost ratio to get in the medium or not.
i shall wait for your replies and if things are positive then we might just look into getting the vinyls release.
also if someone can help me with manufacturing leads

Before you get into anything, pl check who has the rights to his earlier songs? I do not think Lucky Ali will have them. The music rights would be with the music company.

i would LOVE to buy the lps for Huma aapke hain koun and Darr but what the heck is up with the tacky covers . Why the hell are they soooooo ugly, it was like no effort was put into them!:annoyed: every collector know that half of the joy and fun in collecting vinyl is the cover, to look at the pictures and to admire the work. The companies have 12 inches of space and this is how they use it. whats up withe frames? why are they there? the covers for dilwale was just as bad, the front picture was grainy and unattractive. I would hve loved to see the front cover of HAHK like theoriginal cd cover, and if its a gatefold they could use the green picture or the family one. why make records if your only going to go have half way? im really disappointed!

It's taking a lot of time for HMV to release its next lot of LP"s... Paakezah, Mughal E Azam, Silsila etc were supposed to come in April, but its almost end-June and there are no signs of it :-(

it seems the vinyls(HMV ones) will be out tomorrow. Lets hope the quality is really good. I am specially interested in the 2 volume collection of Rabindrasangeet.
