Hathway goes HD in Bangalore??

Thats great. Six HD will be way better than Zee Cinema HD. Been hearing about Sony HD for a while now. Wonder if that will be launched and added anytime soon.

There are a whole bunch of channels which I feel they can remove from the ones currently available in the digital box. Ones like Australia Network, Russia Today and the channels in that genre. I'm pretty sure than channels like FX or Nat Geo Adventure would be more popular than these. With digitization in Bangalore having a deadline of mid 2013, its gonna be a long wait.

Its a nice change from the usual travel shows and everything is very well made. I'm surprised that this channel is not promoted a lot elsewhere.

Rahul, Which part of Bangalore do you live? My Hathway guy said 6000/-for the box and the usual monthly subscription amount of 240/- I live in Koramangala
 
I stay in Basavangudi. The Hathway website says that its Rs. 6666 for the HD box and all channels for one year. Maybe u can show this to ur cable guy.
 
I have connected my HD set-top box to the denon 1911 with a hdmi cable for video and connected an optical cable from the HD box to denon; still not getting 5.1 surround or dolby surround! Any ideas?

I called up the cable guy and he said the total cost for Hathway HD STB would be 3300 + 2200 for 16 HD channels for 1 year + 250 rs for Standard D Channels every month..
 
I paid 6600 for one year inclusive of everything i.e HD STB + all SD and HD channels. No extra subscription per month!!!
 
I have been getting "This service is blocked (4)" on Movies Now HD, Ten HD and other bunch of channels. I called the cable guy and he will be coming tomorrow to have a look. Anyone of you faced this ever?
 
ESPN HD and Star Cricket HD are coming to Hathway next week.

Hathway is also working on Dolby audio on Hathway. They have some technical issues now and are working on it.
 
Also hope they dont remove any current HD channels. In my opinion the only HD channels they can remove are CNBC HD and MTunes HD cuz I feel they dont have the need to be broadcast in HD...
 
My dad just got the HD box installed today in Mumbai,need to confirm it soon as i'm going to mumbai this weekend!!thats awesome news
