Have you ever been so much bored while watching a movie in a cinema/theater ?

the only film i've walked out of is "50 first dates" starring adam sandler. I had gone with a couple of female friends, who were also categorically in favour of walking out at the interval.

The other one I felt like walking out for was Avatar, but I slept instead. The boredom was staggering.

Guys I watched Prince of Persia today - Towards the end I could not take it and walked out (fortunately it was in a mall in NJ) - my wife watched the whole movie and she agreed with me that it sucked.
Cheers
Sid

:o

What??
You walked out without your wife?? :o
That requires quite a bit of courage (and a gym body) :clapping:

Thank you so much sir for saving my valuable money. Is Iron Man 2 must watch? I liked Iron Man 1

you would be disappointed with 2 if you keep comaring it with 1. downey is good as usual and so is rourke. scarlett johansonn seems like an unnecessary addition, though had she shed some clothes, i would have changed my opinion.

I am getting quite wary of watching these big budget hollywood movies - so no I have not seen Iron Man 2. I am thinking of waiting for the DVD's from now on and just watch at home.

yeah donny darko... i watched that thrice just to understand what exactly they meant ..just coz so many people appreciated it..

probably m too dumb or they are super intelligent.

Some twenty years back ,i went to see Rudaali in a non ac theater. After about fifteen minutes or so, i started sleeping and slept right through the movie.

Recently, i went to watch Mumbai Meri Jaan. There was this fat guy two rows behind me, who started snoring, ten minutes into the movie. Right through the movie, the whole theatre could hear him.

Still more recent was Paatshala. I could neither sleep nor get interested in the movie.

For me, nothing, nothing would beat the yesteryear Doordarshan news. There were no clips then, a Minu or a Salma would bore you to death for 30 minutes with inaugurations, government announcements etc. It was a sureshot sleeping pill, i am sure some viewers would have also died while watching the news.

Its happened many times. The last one was Dragon Ball when I was travelling in the US. It was horrible movie.

Other ones that come to mind are Borat, Living Daylights, ...

Hindi ones are Dil bole hadippa and whats your rashee (thank god my wife got the DVDs). I wasted about 15 mins in total watching the 2 movies

Now that would have been interesting! She looked pretty good in those tight fitting clothes:D

Pavit, unless you like to watch Iron Man pee in his suits, shoot melons (and not the interesting kind) and watch a cheap replay of the video game MechWarrior, then save yourself some more money. In my opinion, it's not even worth buying as a DVD, let alone Blu Ray.

It happened once with Devdas. We were around 10 or 15 guys in Chennai Satyam. Got bored within 45 mts and I was sitting outside the hall with another friend, who also walked out with me. We just enjoyed eating and chatting.

Yeah..., with me It was "Naina", the Urmila starred supernatural thriller (Actually my friend had pushed me into this insisting that they have used the most advanced digital camera to capture this movie). I don't know how I passed that 2.5 hours in the theatre . As I was with my family, so there was no question of doing a mandatory walk out. I tried hard but could not take it. I went out thrice and once even did a good chit-chat with snacks and cold drink vendor only to be scolded for returning back late. Had I been with my friends, I would have escaped long back then but this time I could not due to the fact that I double up as the official family Chauffeur on weekends.

Yaaden Takes the cake but the one which takes bakery would be 2012 and the recent one PATSHALA *Shaid kapoor and Nana pathekar (dunno what he was doing in this movie):mad::mad:

Hey Noking, I am yet to see 2012. Is it that bad? IMO, Bad English movies are much better than Bad Hindi movies.:ohyeah:

Err.. I suppose you did not watch donnie darco??
Anyone supporting this movie is my enemy!!

I only consider "Donnie Darko" as a very normal movie within the realm of different kind of movies.

I've set my threshold higher. Try sitting through one of Alejandro Jodorowsky's films in one single stretch (esp "Holy Mountain"). They can be only described as self indulgent, surrealistic, symbolic, bizarre .... you get the idea ;) And they have a 7+ rating on IMDB too.

The movies I could not stand five minutes of - could be mostly found in IMDB bottom 100. For e.g., "Troll 2" (was on some channel lately). You have to see it for five minutes to redefine your definition of bad acting. It's supposed to be a horror film. But the only horror you have is "How did they make such a movie in the first place?". "Meet the Spartans", "Date Movie", "Epic Movie".... all qualify in a similar vein.
