The hunt for movies and series is on and on. Newer ones keeps popping up, but there are some gems that we might have have missed.

This is all about the movies and series that we might have missed.

Lets limit to a max total of movies/series per post.

If possible lets describe the content (spoilers not an issue if its not a thriller)

Delaying my next netflix subscription meanwhile hunting the missed ones in prime....guess many of us will like this!!

Language no bar as long as subtitles available!

My picks
1. Horror thriller - final destination (all parts) if missed is sure a gem.

2. Trumanshow- jim carrey movie- what else description more needed!!

3.meet joe black-story- man gets few days before his death and the death (as a person) stays with him. the original version of recent days tamil film 'vinothaya sitham' also being made in telugu. High philosophical value movie with a tinge of fiction.

4 . Fun - euro trip. - this like american pie is a comedy with some nudity!!

I saw a post on reddit which suggested to watch movies by going in as blind as possible. By that I mean just starting the movie without watching the trailer or even reading about it.

I saw the following movies and really liked them.

Coherence (2013)
In Bruges (2008)
Miracle Mile (1988)

There are two running threads
"Movies I Liked"

There is no need for another thread

Here are my picks for movies and series you might have missed:

  1. The Fall - A gripping crime drama series featuring Gillian Anderson as a detective hunting a serial killer in Belfast. The psychological tension and character development make it a standout.
  2. The Secret in Their Eyes - An Argentinian film blending romance and crime, focusing on a retired legal counselor revisiting an unsolved case. It explores themes of justice and love, and won an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
  3. Paterson - Directed by Jim Jarmusch, this slice-of-life film follows a bus driver and poet, celebrating the beauty of routine and the poetry in everyday life.
  4. Dark - A German sci-fi thriller series about time travel and its consequences. When a boy goes missing, it uncovers secrets spanning generations, making it a must-watch for genre fans.
  5. The Intouchables - A heartwarming French film about an unlikely friendship between a wealthy quadriplegic and his caregiver. It's a feel-good movie that beautifully balances humor and emotion.

Thanks.
Had some work so couldnt engage for a week and just now subscribed netflix for a month...so....holiday to prime for a month😜

After recently subscribing to netflix watching more of prime now😅.
Prime seems to have opened up a lot contents that were not earlier available...
Like james bond series some good old movies, many bollywood movies that i have missed..
Where were all these previously?
Whats happening?
New subscriber alluring strayegy?? Or what???

More than Prime (which I do like for some of its Indian content), I find the add on subscriptions more useful. Particularly BBC Player, MGM+ and Sony Pictures Stream. Try these if you love cinema and TV from the 70s-90s. BBC Player has some excellent new content too with some very fine acting. Most of our TV watching is around these now.
