Help needed to configure LG 47LE5500

Prit, did you notice that the best color in the LED TV is red?,followed by yellow, green and pink.Black is not the best.
Kittu, alteast steal the money from neigbour to but this Tv,it's that good!,5300 for 15 k less can also be considered, thought it has 2 lakhs less contrast ratio,it's still good.

I wish you were my neighbour :p:rolleyes: ;).

@bala - My eyes are not so sensitive :) but I believe this actually depends on source & content, did you test with HD content? try running 3 HD videos - a forest; a beach in the day and a sunset. You will get an excellent idea from how your tv handles those HD contents at 1080p/24 for all possible color gamuts. Agree, black is not as good as THX plasma, but with 1/3 power consumption + excellent color rendition, I can live with it!

I have connected my TV to SUN HD,the tamil, telugu songs/movies and the MOVIE NOW channels are awesome, unbeleivable, everybody at home are addicted to the TV now.The HD broadcast is exemplary and SD is also good with channels like SUN and CNN IBN.
I haven't tried DVD YET,yet to connect
Which HD broadcast have you subcribed??

@kittu - I did demo 8500, PQ is great; blacks are better than 5500 It's got 9mil:1 contrast ratio, more expensive as well. Bit overpriced I would say given the additional "benefits" which you hardly notice all the time
@bala - I have TataSky HD

The 47 inch 9500 was quoted 99k over phone may be I can get for 90k after bargain :licklips: FULL LED 3D

9500 at 90K would be great.
however you might want to consider how much you are ready to shell out for every new feature, new model etc. with each costing maybe a 5-10K incremental premium. If you are ready with 90K for 9500, couple of days later you might think of the next model at 100K (just 10K more :) ). So how far are you ready to go from your "baseline" ? :) :)
And also consider if that will enrich your viewing experience in that ratio overall. I don't mean to preach buddy, but let's not get ourselves into a race while the companies laugh their way to the bank and we consumers get stuck with a bunch of features we will never use/understand ....so choose wisely.

Rightly said, but I am gonna demo it . All other LEDs are LED PLUS where as only 8500 and above are full LED .... I know I will see the new oled when I walkout of the showroom after my purchase  ... making an entry to display stand.... Grrrrrrrrrrrrr ............... ...

Again confirmed with Croma manager for LX 9500 price , it is 99990/- . Will be visiting the shop tomorrow demo the TV. :) Any fellow mates in bangalore wanna join  .

Hi Kittu,

I am interested in this model ..... for two TVs we have better chance of negotiation .

Sure thing let me know, when can you make it ? I just asked the sales guy to confirm if the TV comes with 3d glasses or not ...

today I went with Kittu... compared the PQ with other models. For PQ i was convinced and purchased 47LX9500. TV will be delivered tomorrow.

I went through some Global reviews (LG Infinia 55LX9500 Review - Watch CNET's Video Review) of the same model. as per them a second remote control is also included in package known as "magic Wand". but LG india site doesnt list that. may be they are not providing that. :( . lets see.

As per indian review Techtree.com India > Reviews > Entertainment > LCD TV > LG 47LX9500 LED LCD TV

Bundle

These are the accessories that come with the 47LX9500;

Instruction manual
Nero Home PC software
Multi-lingual manual disk
Remote
Component and Composite adapters
A pair of 3D glasses

it seems it's not included.

Aren't you getting free 3D Blu ray player with this LED?

Congrats @bugme!! Did you buy from croma Jayanagar? How much did you pay?
@kittu - did you buy as well??

BTW, hope you guys didn't pay too much for the 3D feature..... heard reports that current glass technology causes eye problem

^

Check if you can order thru LG service/support center . Btw what is special about that remote ?

Congrats Bugme,LG Tv is awesome which ever model it is.Kindly start a new thread, beleive your's is the first 3D LG TV in the forum.

Ok folks, an update. Got some time over this weekend to play around with the network settings and USB. Managed to shift my wireless modem besides the LE5500 and connected via ethernet (did not want to spend money on wireless dongle).
Got connected to Net without any hassle. Automatic download of software started, got a list of apps like - Youtube, Aljazeera, Facebook, Twitter, Picasa etc... have tested few, works more or less okay.
Youtube videos sometimes refuse to run - but might be due to b/w (I have 1mbps link), sometimes runs great. Some free internet radio stations are available as well.
Overall satisfied.
One observation though - Expert mode picture settings are not available for NetCast or USB - that's a shame! But you can tweak the predefined settings a bit to suit your taste.
Tested DLNA with provided Nero software, couldn't make it work from my office laptop (WinXP), might be some firewall issue. Worked like a breeze from my home laptop over wireless (Windows 7).
USB - runs pretty much everything except DTS audio. m2ts files are not recognized, but runs fine if you rename to .mkv! Must be some legal issue....

So much for today....

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
