Help: Wanna Find Best TV In 45000 Range - Goa

Re: Panasonic P42U30 vs Samsung 43D490?

.............mmmmm.....I don't know.
The old CRT is serving my parents with SD, and a new LED full HD monitor is serving my HD requirements for the time being.

If you do not have urgent requirements and are interested in 3D, I think it is advisable to wait.

ok ill wait till Diwali... btw i saw somewhere written about no USB Port in P42U30? only smart card slot which is useless (not good as usb drive)

Re: Panasonic P42U30 vs Samsung 43D490?

But I doubt it is worth waiting. The active glass is going to cost too much for the entire family. LED 3D TVs by LG is now available at 65K and the glasses are very cheap. The total cost of ownership will be in favour of LG 3D, which bothers me.
Did you mean the passive 3d TV?. I saw them in one of shops and I didn't like the 3D quality . And more over I'm looking for UT30 bcoz I'm expecting a slight improvement in PQ ( due to 1080 MPR) and the vier a connect stuff. 3D will be just an added adv

No it has 2 USB ports along with a SD card slot. You can play movies/images thru any of them

Price in metros is 35k or lower. It is also an older model. Go to panasonic brand shop in Panaji and check out 42X30 - it is on the internal road from caculo mall towards miramar/taleigao.

Yes i know but in goa prices are always high no matter what :(

if there are independent service for LG ( not depending on particular shop) available in Goa, you can definitely order online from letsbuy etc. and save the money. Determine the model by visiting the shops and by opinions in this forum and order on line.

so r you still searching for tv or allready decided just waiting for right moment?

i will check out soon Panasonic Brandshop ;)

Yes, still searching. No decision on 42/50, HD/FHD yet. It is all variable.

I was only able to see LG plasmas in LG brand shop in Margao. Samsung dealer (multi-brand shop) did not have plasmas on display. I have been to Panaji many times these days, even today, but haven't had the time to visit Panasonic showroom before it shuts down. I will purchase during Diwali time, so sometime in October.

Panasonic - X/U 30. Samsung D450. LG PT350. Not looking for 3D at all.

If you take a bus to Miramar circle, it is walking distance - along Dhempe HSS/College main road then take left turn, walk about 100m or so and look out for Panasonic showroom on your right - they have half the ground floor in that building, so it is impossible to miss.

I checked LG PT350 and got discount price 39k is this good price?
hmm.... i got to check Panasonic showroom for sure now :)

Its not a bad price for Goa, but I'd wait to see if there are any discounts or freebies during Diwali. Margao dealer had told me 40k for 42" and 52k for 50" - this was without bargain. I can't recall if that was PT or PJ model, but diff was about 2k for PT and PJ.
