Help: Wanna Find Best TV In 45000 Range - Goa

if we buy online isnt it good idea as we save about 5k on LG 42PT350 via letsbuy.com?

ok if you want to give me advice on which tv should i buy without checking demo from Panasonic,LG,samsung?

If you want to buy with closed eyes, go for panasonic, i.e. if it is plasma. :)

Well, If you bargain hard, you can squeeze in P42U30 for your budget. This is a full HD 2D model from panasonic for this year. P42X30 is available for less than 40K.

That would be a good deal.

Same here. It is a good deal again. But, pl. do factor in the duty.

The price as per the link is even less. It is US price, factoring in the transportation and duties and the fact that US warranties cannot be enforced here, I think it will be unvialble.

hmm... will this model be available till diwali in india? and what price tag will this model have? cause i can wait and stretch my budget till 55k but i need confirmation that this model will available and under 55k so please guys help me out...

Guys today i went to Samsung showroom where i checked Samsung 4 Series 43'' 3D Plasma TV PN43D490A1D and found out its seem not bad, if we stand in front of tv its not that clear though but the price i got is amazing 43k with Two Samsung 3D GLASSES SSG-3100GB so what you guys think?

42ST30 is at 74k on diwali offer. check my post in the price thread. you should be able to bargain on those offers also.

the samsung price with 3D glasses looks good because glasses have been quoted about 3k each, so your TV price goes down to 37k. You can definitely take that offer. Which showroom is this, btw? Did you bargain for it?

i just told him that he can give me his best offer so i can think about it, than he quickly said its Diwali coming so here is what you get in Diwali offer is 43K though he dont have 3d glasses now so i couldnt check out 3d effect and its not Full HD too so will have to think cause panasonic U30 is Full HD but price tag with diwali offer is 47K...

so i am in confusing stage :(

does it make big difference in HD Ready and Full HD?

what will you watch most of the time? how much % of time full-hd movies, how much % of time SD channels

hmm... 40% SD-HD Channel from tata sky and 60% 720p BluRay Movies and only sometime Full HD 1080 Movies..

will it play smoothly 720p BluRay which have Quality: 1280528, 6,170 kbps, English DTS 1510 kbps?

if only sometimes FHD movies, you can go for HD TV.

For SD channels, HD TV is better, for 528 and 720p, HD TV will be enough. Remember that HD TV is 720p and FHD is 1080p.

If you want 3D, go for that samsung 490 deal with free glasses - its a good deal and you can even try to bargain further.

IIRC you were mentioning about size constraints - please check width of TV on official site before purchase.

actual width of the TV is 42inch so its not fitting in my showcase so i am waiting showcase maker to custom cut my showcase for fit 42inch.... and one more thing he cant go lower than 43k :( btw he said its a diwali offer. as it will cost me more cause i have to cut my showcase...

What I have noticed is if the SD content is via a HD STB then the PQ is good even in FHD TVs

upscaling SD content to 720 has less pixelation problems than upscaling to larger 1080 size

also depends on compression of channel content by your provider... more compression = more pixelization
