Hifi Rack

^^
thanks for the appreciation guys

yep
a very rad design indeed....
short detail in post no.116

except for the shelving which are actually quite unique too
They are our version of "soundbases"
multielement platforms- superb performance

Now here is another rack i just completed

This is an upgraded version of the Classic Alpha rack ( A Mk2 version if you wish)
Fully modular and stackable as you choose. Each level/shelf/module having individual spike sets for enhanced isolation.Whats more; its fully custom.

The rack above uses Solid aluminum bars as supports, 10mm plexi for shelving, and full sized ( dia 32) CNC machined double contoured spikes and receptors
as opposed to
Hollow steel pipes, 8mm toughened glass and knurled and pointed bolts ( as spikes ) on most other branded offerings

The rack is off to a forum member and has 4 levels ( the pic shows only 3 though )

prices on request only and depends on the heights you choose
please use the form on my website

Wow Ali! The rack looks great in the pics. I will NEFT today and you should have the monies tomorrow. Please dispatch as soon as you can!

Now all I need is equipment to put on the rack :)

What is the gap between each shelf ? Can I place 2 big AVRs ? :)

The gap between shelves can be customized to your taste. I have opted for 7,8 and 9 inches. Plus, in this MkII design, since each module is spiked, the shelves can be separated, if needed, into mini-racks. This is visible in the second pic posted by Ali.

You are welcome to come and see the rack (and listen to some music) once I receive it.

Ali awesome work.

That will be called the "delta" rack - it will be released soon- the ground work is done. The dies have arrived, the composite shelving needs to get streamlined

Here is a rack being done for a friend
(I dont do wood - this was a huge favor)

overkill by many standards
All burma teak wood
2 by 3 inch columns
1.5 inch thk shlef supports
independant shlef isolation ( floating shelves ) -

following is just the rough frame
finishing and carvings will be done later

Hi Magma

That image is of the SRA Craz rack. That rack has a titanium skeleton running inside the wood with lots of other stuff inside the wood column. Its completely different from what you are doing.

hmmm
maybe i should have said that it will end up "looking" like the Craz

P.S : the rack should have everything that you see outside except the titanium skeleton running inside the wood and all else that you have mentioned
shelving will obvioulsy be what i had developed earlier - the silicon, wood, granite composite
(not the craz isobase)

Hi Magma

The heart of the Craz rack is the skeleton inside with its special dampening as also the 4 pads on which the shelves rest. Craz does not use isobase shelving. Its treated soapstone for shelving.

the 4 pads and skeleton you see outside the rack is planned for my rack too
Soapstone! - hmm thats not too difficult to source!

i dont have access to titanium to i couldnt do that

Hi Magma. I do not think on a public forum you should be blatantly copying designs. Even in the past you were trying to ape the ceraballs.

The SRA guys develop stuff for the NASA and US Airforce and Navy. They have the test equipment and a complete understanding of resonance and isolation. Trying to make something look like a Craz does not make it a Craz.
