Hisense 100Q7N vs 85U7K vs TCL 85C755?

Just remember that you, most likely, will have just ONE TV in a room . The question of " comparing" will not arise.
If you are happy with the picture quality of the Hisense, I would suggest you save your money. If, however, the TCL pic quality is demonstrably better, and you enjoy watching programmes like Planet Earth etc....then go for the better picture!
Agreed however there are no display models available in my town, hence asking OP for input.

The other thing is it’s a PITA to resell a 85inch to so really wanting to make the right choice here.

Thanks for you reply, I have decided to go with 85incher at this stage. I have 2 X Hisense 65inch E7k pro TVs and I am really happy with their performance.

The confusion right now is between the Hisense Q7N 85 Inch QLED or the C755 Mini LED.

The C755 wins specs wise but is the quality that much more superior ?

Q7n is around 1.75L and C755 is around 2.40L

Not too worried about VIDAA or Android.

Is 70K worth it for Mini Led or as OP has suggested both the tvs have similar performance?

Hi, to be clear, while the mini-led is better, especially in terms of peak brightness, the difference between the 75C755 and 100Q7N is not as dramatic as the specs suggest.

Now coming to your quandary - unfortunately I have not seen either 85Q7N or 85C755 in person. But let's think this through.

There are significant differences between 100Q7N and 85Q7N - 256 vs 96 dimming zones, and 500 vs 400 nits brightness. So I'm not sure how close the 85Q7N comes to 100Q7N in terms of PQ.

But this may not matter - the E7K you're happy with has 300 nits and no dimming zones, so the 85Q7N should be significantly better, both in terms of black levels, and overall punch.

However, if you are ok spending ~2.5L and your viewing distance is > 15 feet, why not consider the 100Q7N? It is now listed for 2.8L on Amazon with additional 5K credit card offers - your dealer should be able to undercut that by ~20K, bringing it down to ~2.6L.

If you want to stick to 85", and if you don't already have an excellent atmos sound system, I'd say go with the 85Q7N and deploy the 70K you've saved towards the Samsung Q990D atmos soundbar, which is currently on discount and can be had for ~80K. This combination should give you a truly immersive audio visual experience for years to come.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply. Seen it a day late.

Bit the bullet and ordered the TCL C755. This is after hours of research and watching countless YouTube reviews.

I don’t have the space for a 100 inch tv so chose the best spec I could buy.

Total damages : 2.28L from Flipkart

New TV being delivered on the 20th 😇

Congratulations. Enjoy it. ....did you watch any of the CIS videos from Las Vegas ? TCL has really got some seriously bright and awesome sets. How long and how much is the question!

What is expected in the next 6 months? Is the 855 coming to India?
Several rumours. Now that CIS is over, we do know that TCL have at least two "mid range" models set for release.Another point if it will be released in India. If you visit smart prix page, for e.g, they have about 34 TVs of 98 & 100" size with expected prices on the list.

Update bought TCL C755 85 inch locally for 2.28L

Will share impressions after a few days of use.

Tv has received a software update already. Google tv os is good with no major stutters or lags.

TV gets real bright!
First of all congratulations on getting the tv.

I too am in the same boat of buying a 85 incher. Please do share your feedback on the TCL C755 as this will help me decide.

Right guys, sorry for the delay.

TV has been going great for the last month.
I mostly use for Netflix/Prime/YT and XBOX/PS5

TV detects both Dolby Vision and atoms signals and is very good at handling 4K content.

There is a little judder that can be seen in panning or very fast moving shots but nothing which would be a deal breaker.

TV is very good with handling blacks and the dimming zones are quite adequate. Colour saturation is good. I mostly find myself using standard or movie picture mode. There have been many instances where I have had to reduce brightness.

Surprisingly i find the TV speakers to be good and for the few times that i have listened to Spotify it’s been great.

Tv boots up quick and the OS is just enough. Can find a little lag here and there but I’m honestly just happy to use Google Tv OS (KODI)

At the end of the day I believe that buying this TV was a good decision as it fulfils my requirements.

I am aware that new models will launch in a few months but i couldn’t wait that long. For anyone wanting to buy this model i would say go ahead and also check with local seller. Other Tv models I was looking at were the Hisense Q7n/ Bravia S3. I would have liked for it to be a little more cheaper as this same model is sold in USA and AUS for literally half the price.

Hope this helps someone 🙂

Just one point of note : TV is quite reflective and doesnt seem to have any anti reflection coating.

Deep blacks for sure but doesnt help if u can see yourself in the tv at late night.

Probably just nit picking here.
